Stayed 2 nights. Cleanliness was ok. Room was clean. Bedsheets were clean and bed was comfortable. Room size was fine. The white shower walls were not clean. They had marks on them which I was able to wipe off with wet wipes. Hot water worked in the shower. Air condition made a lot of noise. We had to switch it off. Staff were great. I had to ask for an iron 3 times, however every other query was attended to straightaway. The team were really helpful. Breakfast was good. Nice ambince. Cutlery was heavy snd expeneive looking. Freshly made omelette were delicious. The guy playing the guitar, Charles, was a lovely touch. Gym was being renivated do we had no access. Main issue occurred on the 2nd night when there was some sort of party. Being woken up by base from music at 12am is not ideal. We called reception and even went down. They said it would be over soon. It wasn't. It's a 5 star hotel and the least people expect is a good night sleep so if you're going to have a party tell the guests when they book so they stay somewhere else if they wish, or make sure your rooms are soundproof. Neither happened, hence my score and I'm being generous as I was so annoyed if I had filled this in on the day it would have been lower. Would have given 4 stars out of 5 if not for that.
