"1/10 — City Express by Marriott New Orleans (Stayed April 9–12) I reported a squeaking door on my first day at check-in, but it took three days to get it repaired. During that time, I followed up and felt ignored, which was frustrating. The breakfast area was clean and well-kept, but there weren’t really any hot food options—nothing like grits or pancakes. The pool was green and appeared unusable, and this wasn’t mentioned at check-in. Overall, the lack of communication and slow response to a basic maintenance issue made this stay disappointing. "

"Breakfast staff was great, but we were served sour milk this morning. Room was clean, bedding fresh, just short on towels—only three, no hand towels or washcloths. Water pressure was pretty low. Other than that, staff was wonderful and everything else was good."

"We checked in and got to our room very late at 2 am. We brought all our items in and turned the ac on hoping it would cool down later and went to sleep only to find the ac would not completely cool the room. We set it at its lowest which was 66° F and it never got cool. The next day we got in around late after dinner and I told the attendant. She was apologetic and sincere and said that the manager would likely give us a discount. The next morning we received our discharge paperwork shoved under our door. So as we went to check out I told the new attendant about the ac & she didn’t acknowledge me and just said ok I’ll tell maintenance. She hardly looked at us and it seemed like we were bothering her. Then she asked y’all need to turn in a key? We said yes handed it to her and we asked if we needed to do anything else and she just said no you’re good. So we left. The breakfast was very crowded but seemingly clean. There was a lot of issues with only having one waffle maker & people weee upset having to wait on the one waffle maker. The staff person attending the breakfast area was nice and helpful and again overall keeping the breakfast area neat. The parking was sufficient. The room could have been cleaned better, there were hairs in the bathroom, a bright red stain on the carpet, the wallpaper was peeling and the shampoo dispenser was empty, the conditioner was nearly empty and only was used once and it was empty. The bar soaps for body were very small. Not the best hotel."

"Staff inattentive on checkin. Front desk on phones and no greeting. Hot tub broken. Had to ask front desk for towels in pool area every time we visited it. Room clean and large. Comfortable. Great outdoor area for walking and nearby restaurants "
