Thomas's visit to Cabañas Junkolal, Chiapas, MEX
This place has free breakfast, a firepit with wood for barbeques, a common area refrigerator with freezer, a private hammock by your cabin door, and a beautiful lake view as well as swimming access right off the property. The water is gorgeous and clean. There is an island you can swim too or you can rent kayaks. The host family is great. It's a 10 minute walk to the Guayemalan border. You can buy Guatemalan shirts and beers and magnets, hats, ceramics, etc. The cabin is right on Lake Tziscao but there are other lakes nearby with balsa raft floating trips and kayaks. No regrets here!!!!! ....p.s you'll have more shopping options in Comitan, but there aee mini markets within walking distance of the Junkolal cabins.
