"I was at first disappointed, because I reserved a harbor-front view room, but when I checked in, it was not available. However, the thoroughly apologetic desk staff provided a consolation room, which had a good view of a jumbled terrain of ancient, brick-tile roofs with a church steeple behind. It also had a private balcony which was large enough to accommodate a small table and 2 chairs. We also were complemented their breakfast, which was huge in its variety of breads, rolls, salads, cheeses,...

"We stayed for 5 nights in a 2 room suite which provided a seperate bedroom and a sitting room with 2 single beds. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was quite modern. The hotel lobby is great. It is furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs, there's a large central bar, and because of the chilly weather in mid October there was a wonderful wood fire buring most of the time. The hotel has a small heated pool which got lots of use from several families, and a sauna and spa. We...

"Everything went well. Situated nicely. Easy to get to the port and also the main shopping. Parking was close. Our room was as spacious as I had hoped. Staff was great upon arrival and pretty much didn't need them after that."

"Friendly and helpful host Cecile when organizing arrival outside of office hours. Very close to main sites and excellent dining options nearby"

"The most welcoming people work at this hotel who made my stay truly unforgettable. Thank you! Overall, the location was perfect. The room I had was very cozy and comfortable."

"Very comfy bed. Parking is limited so must be booked. The best location."

"Bien situé"

"The hotel is very small (maybe 16 rooms) and right on the old port. You simply cannot beat the location. Check-in was a bit unusual, as the reception was not open for check-in until 3 pm. There is an option for an earlier check-in for a small fee but we arrived right at 3. There is no elevator and the initial stairs up to the reception area are steep. It may be prohibitive for people with mobility issues, but we found the stairs manageable. The room was large and very clean. Very minimalist,...

"Perfect location in the beautiful city of La Rochelle. Absolutely loved our stay and proximity to the centre. Some amazing restaurants close by and plenty of places to hire bikes to explore the area. 5* will definitely be back"

"Super location. Restaurant staff are delightful and very helpful. We were staying with our dog & he was allowed to join both outside then inside (it became too chilly to sit outside for dinner). Choice is good, reasonable price for a hotel and good quality. Breakfast was very good, it’s popular even out of season so would imagine it’s a bit of a crush if really busy. Rooms are basic but nice, would be handy to have bedside tables both sides and USB points. Very clean. The outside terrace was...

"The hotel did not have any desirable outdoor seating area. There was one table and chairs outback, but it was dirty. Our room was in the front of the hotel and was very noisy. I corresponded with a gentleman employee weeks before we arrived and he confirmed a dinner reservation for me, but when we arrived, we learned he had not done so."

"Séjour de 5 nuits - idéalement situé - petit dejeuner ok - chambre avec vue de côté sur le port bien insonorisé et climatisation ok - literie moyenne - personnel sympa"

"Ein nettes kleines Hotel sehr Stadtbahn gelegen. Ws hat alles gepasst."
