Wir hatten einen Family-Room (4 Betten und größer) gebucht, der jedoch nicht verfügbar war. Man gab uns, ohne dies zu sagen, ein normales Standard-Zimmer mit nur 2 Betten, welches noch nicht fertig war (Kopfkissen waren noch nicht bezogen, Besen stand noch herum, der Moskitovorhang fehlte und es war noch alles schmutzig). Daraufhin haben wir uns beschwert, man glaubte uns nicht und eine Dame von der Rezeption ging mit uns um sich zu überzeugen, eine Frechheit!!! Daraufhin haben wir den Raum Nr. 12 bekommen (wieder mit 2 Betten), der ganz abseits lag, aber Flussblick hatte. Wir haben uns zufrieden gegeben.
Es war keine Kühlmöglichheit vorhanden, was wir in Namibia bisher noch nicht erlebt haben (es stand in der Buchungsbestätigung, ist uns aber entgangen).
Wir haben schon mehrere Gondwana-Lodges gebucht, dies war jedoch mit Abstand die schlechteste Lodge.
Die Game-Drives mit John waren jedoch sehr gut und wir haben viele Tiere gesehen. Er hat sich auch sehr viel Mühe gegeben.
Alles in allem waren die Lodge-Mitarbeiter nicht sehr freundlich. Aber in der Ecke des Caprivi hat man mit Lodges keine große Auswahl.
Die Lage der Lodge ist traumhaft, das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Allerdings war sowohl der Bungalow als auch der Aussenbereich/essbereich von Stinkwanzen bevölkert. Allein im Bereich des Bettes haben wir täglich mehr 30 Stück entfernt. Dies beeinträchtigte den ansonsten schönen Aufenthalt doch erheblich.
