I wouldn't recommend to stay in any hotel in the city, go for the beach hotels. What you will save on hotel in the city, you will spend on Tuk-tuks there and back."

"Excellent central location for exploring central Trincolomee. Well-managed and friendly, accommodating staff. Make sure to request a room with hot water and AC as not all rooms are the same. Of note, the hotel is currently in the process of adding another floor. Once completed, there will be some nice city views from the top floor rooms."
