The staff make staying here so much worth it - they go above and beyond for all requests. I have been staying here regularly for a few years now - 2 things need more attention from management: common area carpeting looks old and seems to have a stench and needs cleaning the food menu is great but the preparation doesn’t seem to be authentic for the Bengali dishes. In all would stay here next time as well.

Have been staying at the Hyatt for quite a few years now - a very convenient place to be going any which way in Kolkata - services, staff, and ambience is excellent and makes one quite comfortable and safe. However, some things need improving to retain 5-star status - furniture very dated and torn, bathroom fixtures need a polish, closet and drawers are almost unpliable or even broken. Hoping for an uplift.

We were a family of 4, and booked 2 rooms for 7 nights. The rooms were spacious, had a view of a park with a big lake in front, breakfast had very good options, even we asked for items which were not in the list - but they did not hesitate to bake and deliver. Staff are very cordial and helpful. The main course Indian meals were spicy, but as we asked they did reduce the spices.
