Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa - Compulsory Join Santhiya Speedboat from / to Ao Po Grand Marina at Phuket
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at Santhiya for a week and stayed in a villa. Everything was perfect for us.
The staff was more than accommodating.
It’s a shame that some guests don’t dress appropriately for dinner (swimsuits)."
"The resort and rooms were clean, well-maintained, and very peaceful. The private beach added to the relaxing experience, making it a great place to unwind away from the crowd.
However, the resort is around 30 minutes away from the main pier and market area, and each round trip can cost approximately 1800 THB. Also, since water taxis are generally unavailable after sunset, you’ll need to return to the resort before 6 PM.
If you’re looking for a quiet and private getaway, this place is definitely worth considering. But if you prefer exploring markets, nightlife, and staying out late, the location may feel a bit inconvenient. Overall, it was a decent experience."
"The hotel was completely misrepresented compared to the listing. The photos give the impression of a peaceful beachfront location; however, in reality the property is situated on a busy strip with loud music playing until the early hours of the morning and starting again shortly after. This made it extremely difficult to relax or sleep, significantly impacting our stay.
We were initially placed in a room with a balcony overlooking a car park, which did not match the expectations set by the listing. After raising this with staff, we were moved; however, the new room—although offering a mountain view—was directly on the main road and was extremely noisy.
Overall, the hotel is presented as a relaxing, “paradise” destination, but in reality it is more comparable to a loud, party-style hotel. This is a clear misrepresentation of the property and falls well below what was advertised and what we paid for.
As this booking was made through Hotels.com, I am asking you to review this case and arrange appropriate compensation. Given the circumstances, I believe a [full / significant partial] refund is justified.
I have supporting evidence, including photos and documentation, and would appreciate a prompt resolution."
"I LOVE Blue Sotel. I was here 6 months ago and decided to revisit . This is by far one of my favorite hotels in Aonang. It has a great location, beautiful views, immediate access to tons of restaurants and spas, and a delicious breakfast. The tr is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back and HIGHLY recommend!!!!"
"Had a suite hotel. The rooms were outworn and there was a very high humidate despite the airconditioning was always on. It also had a smell of sewer most of the time. All my clothes in my suitcase were moisty and nothing could get dry inside. Even the hotel phone rang multiples times, even in the night, but the lobby couldn’t identify why. The best thing was the massage lady, very nice and gentle and even came with mango and bananas for free for my child. The resort is in walking distance to many shops nearby and has own private Beach, which is nice. The pool areas are also good. And breakfast is variable."
