Es war nicht unser erster Aufenthalt im Over Bay. Insofern wussten wir, was auf uns zukommt und was wir gebucht haben. Keine Zimmerreinigung, Wäschetausch haben wir selbst organisiert. Das Personal total lieb und die Aussicht vom Balkon wirklich schön. Unbefriedigend die Qualität des w-lan im Zimmer. Was für thailändische Verhältnisse eher ungewöhnlich ist. Das Frühstück war absolut in Ordnung und ausreichend, der Kaffee, löslicher, grauenvoll. Man bucht sich dort ein Häuschen und bewegt sich von dort aus durchs Land. Uns hat es alles in allem gefallen.

Ongastvrije ontvangst en ongeïnteresseerd personeel. Ontbijt pas vanaf 08.30 als er iemand komt die de bestelling kan vertalen naar de keuken waar geen Engels wordt gesproken. Het is een flinke klim naar de kamers. De staat is redelijk. Er wordt een keer per drie dagen schoongemaakt. Moet je wel om vragen. Overgestapt naar een hotel aan zee...

We stayed in a sea view deluxe bungalow. It was awesome . The views are amazing, and it truly is a special place. The bungalow was so clean and the bed and sheets were clean and comfy. There were no insects or mosquitoes in the bungalow and we slept really well as it was so quiet. It’s a peaceful place to stay , with a lovely pool that overlooks the ocean. I will definitely stay here again. We liked it so much we stayed for 10 days and would stay longer if we didn’t have to go home . The family that run it are lovely and helpful, if you want the room cleaned or clean sheets or towels you just ask. Best bungalow I have stayed in on Koh Pha-ngan.

Memorable
A unique stay. Individual houses built on stilts on the side of the cliff. Standard fan room with balcony, basic, but adequate. Restaurant below. Good swimming pool. A steep walk up to some of the rooms, so not for the infirm. Enjoyed my stay here and will go back again.

Choose other!!
If you have any other option do not hesitate! They claim to have room service but were never brought to our room, whenever we wanted new towels or toilet paper had to go to the front desk to ask and be me to take them to the room. The room was never cleaned in all the time we had it, and we made the mistake of scoring soon for 11 days, as it was close to the New Year and it was either full or too expensive. If it rains the bangalow gets all wet and the bed too, and it smells impossible, it's horrible. The internet works poorly or does not work .. To get to the rooms is a long and irregular staircase, very bad if you have children or elderly people. And the pool was in a bad state, dirty water and torn chairs .. all the space seemed to have no maintenance. They say they have taxi service but in reality they have us go looking for one at the side of the road, because if it does not suit them, they say they have not .. we eat there several times and although the food was good the portions and ingredients were diminishing every time we eat there .. only the bar man was simpatic and attentive. The room view its very beautiful. What at first appeared to be a pleasant stay became a very uncomfortable and unpleasant stay .. not really worthwhile.

Great Hotel 100%
When we arrived at this hotel, staff were ready and waiting to greet us. Our room/shack was high up and gave great views over the sea. Room was clean and basic but just what you needed. The pool was small but again offered great views and we had it to ourselves. Staff couldn't have helped anymore than they did. Food and drinks very cheap and very good. Basically this hotel was everything we had hoped for and more

Peaceful stop in Haad Yao
Haad Yao is a peaceful, quiet stay. The owners/hosts did not speak much English but that was fine for our purposes. The view was great, nice food, stairs were steep but manageable. It was also close to the beach and local amenities.

All in one Nice Hotel, Nice Food for a Good Price.
The Hotel staff is very friendly and the Restaurant Good and cheap. The Room was very small and the bathroom Not so clean. The Location is very Nice and close to the Beach. From the Bungalow you have a Nice view to the Ocean, from the Outside, the Bungalow is Perfect. I would come back to this Hotel.

Wir haben die Standard Variante gebucht und sind 15 Min nach Ankunft und Ansehen 2er Bungalows sofort wieder abgereist! Es war so eklig, müffig und abgewohnt alles... Ldider konnten wir nicht mehr stornieren und mussten doppelt bezahlen

Small Rooms
The pictures of this "resort" made us book it even though it was far (30-40 min drive from the port and the Full Moon Party). However, when we arrived to our room, it was small, i mean small (like 10ftx10ft) and the bed took about 80% of the floor space. The view was nice though. Bathrooms don't have a shower curtain so the toilet and shower are next to each other and water gets all over the place. The bathroom also had small vents in the wall with no mesh, which let bugs and mosquitoes come in at night. When we left, my wife's luggage had a roach in it, she freaked, I laughed. We came to the island for the Full Moon Party only, but if we were to go again, I would stay closer to the southern part of Koh Phangan because everything is over there. You can rent scooters for 250baht/day (~$7 USD). Taxi services cost $300baht/person ($8.50) from the port to the resort and vice versa.

Les propriétaires ne parlent pas très bien anglais. Séjour mitigé même si le cadre est dépaysant . Punaise de lit le 1er jour , on a du dormir à la belle étoile car accueil ferme le soir :( Sinon bien situé .

Nice views, out of the the way
Hotel is very basic, very nice view from the rooms. Rooms are up a very very steep hill, wouldn't recommend if you're not fit or have small children. Hotel is about 30 minutes or more from the main action of koh phangan

Schöne Aussicht und Lagein Strandnähe
Wir waren sehr zufrieden! Essen war top, haben dort gerne gefrühstückt und auch ab und zu abendgegessen, sehr lecker! Das Zimmer auf dem Hügel mit Meerblick war wunderbar, klar war der Weg zum Apartment etwas Cardiotraining:) haben es aber positiv gesehen, denn wenn man eine schöne Aussicht haben möchte, dann nimmt man gerne auch die Steigung in Kauf. Der Strand war 5 Minuten zu Fuß mit vielen netten Strandbads und Strandrestaurants, haben es sehr genossen, auch abends:) Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden mit dem Preis Leistungsverhältnis! Gerne wieder!

Over PAY instead of Overbay
Bed was broken. Couldn't sleep. There were no blankets. So if you turn on the AC, you'll freeze, and if you turn off you'll swim in your own sweat. Shower hose broken. Water pressure was bad. Next morning there was no water to shower or use the toilet. Bed lamp broken and has lizards chilling behind it. Room was not cleaned (there was a maxi pad in the bin with blood on it, shampoo bottles all over the bathroom floor). The hammock on the balcony is disgusting and terribly smelly. The food was the worse ever. No taste. The breakfast cold fried eggs. White cold toasted bread. And half cooked cold bacon. Pineapple Juice from a box. And instant coffee that tasted like Ahole juice. The Sign said breakfast is from 8:30. But there was never anyone ready till 10. SThe place is run by lazy unnterested kids. The first night their " DJ" was smoking joints and playing manu chao or repeat the entire night. Next day it was bob Marley all night. And it's only 4 songs that they repeats all night. 3D day Guns n Roses November rain was on loop. INSANE!!! We could. It leave due to heavy rains so we had to be water boarded with this music. The only thing that was good is the view from my balcony. And a cute Siamese cat that was hanging around the dinner area.

Lovely stay
Lovely place. Amazing food at a good price. The view was probably stunning but the rain did not allow me to enjoy it enough. The staff was available and kind in any situation. Room was basic basic but clean.

Best hotel in my trip. Strongly reccommend.
It was my first trip to Koh Phangan. I was great surprised about hotel. Best sea view. i enjoyed my hammock on my balcony every day. Nice sea breese. Every night i listened sea. And every morning i could see sea from my bed. So it was awesome. it was the best hotel in my new year trip.

Room and hotel looked so much better in Expedia.
The room we paid for (triple) was not the room we got and only upon complaining did we get the correct room with a decent view. The restaurant only served breakfast which as a joke. Also the hotel is on top of a hill and has extremely steep steps to the rooms once up the hill. Staff could have been much more helpful with taxis etc etc We got better service and help from places we just ate lunch at where we weren't even staying. Over priced. We found better hotel with better rooms for cheaper!! On the beach. Haad Yao Resort is where we stayed for the rest of our vacation, and we had a fantastic stay there.

Vergane glorie
Hotel ligt tegen een heuvel aan bij Haad Yao Beach. Volgens ons het mooiste strand van koh phangan. Prachtige zonsondergang. Hotel is een beetje vergane glorie. Flink klimmen naar je huisje. Zwembad leek mooi op de foto's maar in werkelijkheid zag het er niet uit. Oud en vies. . KKamers zijn weliswaar ruim en een mooi balkon en uitzicht maar de kwaliteit liet te wensen over. Keiharde matrassen en zo'n beetje alles zat los in de badkamer. Maargoed, zo veel waren wij niet op de kamer. Strand vergoed veel en het ontbijt ook

Direkt zu Beginn: wir hatten einen Deluxe Bungalow, also einen von den teuren, die wir auch jedem Ans Herz legen würden. Die älteren Bungalows wirken doch sehr heruntergekommen. Das Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Der Bungalow ist ausreichend groß und der Ausblick war der Hammer. Vom Bad darf man leider nicht allzu viel erwarten, unser Waschbecken ist ausgelaufen und die Dusche hat das gesamte Bad unter Wasser gesetzt. Bucht man das Zimmer mit Frühstück, kann man sich ein Set bestehend aus einer Speise, Orangen - oder Ananassaft und Tee oder Kaffee aussuchen. Uns hat dies meist nicht gereicht, sodass wir noch ein zusätzliches Gericht bestellen mussten, welches selbst zu zahlen ist. (Ist aber alles super günstig!) Der nächste 7/11 ist schnell erreicht, ein paar wenige Restaurants gibt es ebenfalls, wir haben jedoch fast jeden Abend im Hotel gegessen, da das Essen wirklich super war (Thaicurry!). Der nahegelegene Secret Beach ist unserer Meinung nach einer der schönsten der Insel und die am Strand gelegene Bar Koh Raham ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert! Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen, auch wenn man hier natürlich keinen Luxus erwarten darf. Wer auf ein bisschen Abenteuerurlaub steht und gerne mal ein Häuschen mitten im Wald und auf dem Berg (bis zum Zimmer muss man einige Treppen auf sich nehmen) hat, ist hier definitiv richtig aufhoben!

Très beau cadre, personnel aimable, jolie piscine avec une belle vue, les repas sont bons. Gros bémol, le ménage. Le bungalow était correct en arrivant mais n'a pas été fait durant les 4 jours de notre séjour. C'est dommage car c'est un endroit agréable et pas cher.

Perfetto! Ottima posizione e gran belle colazioni!
È stata un'ottima esperienza! Le camere erano grandi e spaziose, così come il bagno privato. La rigogliosa vegetazione offre tutta la privacy desiderabile. I ragazzi della struttura sono estremamente gentili, disponibili e dei cuochi sopraffini! Le colazioni sono uno spasso e le cene squisite ed abbondanti.. Vicino abbiamo affittato un motorino e abbiamo girato l'isola, ad ogni modo non abbiamo mai rinunciato agli aperitivi in spiaggia, raggiungibile facilmente a piedi.. Una soluzione deluxe nel panorama lowcost!

Great Resort with friendly staff
We stayed there for five days and we loved it. We arrived one day later, than our usual booking, but we could change the dates of our stay easily with no extra charge. We felt very welcomed and we really loved our bungalow with the amazing seaview. The breakfast was always very fresh and delicious and also the other food in the restaurant was very good and not very expansive. Probably the best Thai food we had on Koh Phangan (although it took them a while to prepare it). The pool had an amazing view over the sea, espacially at sunset. The price for this wonderful view is that you have to walk about 5-10 minnutes to get to the beach, which is not to bad. The Haad Yao Beach is very nice and has got a lot of nice restaurants and bars. If we come come to Koh Phangan we will definately stay at Haad Yao Overbay Resort again!
