"I was actually surprised how just great this place was - exceeded my expectations. The rear of the property feels a bit “big-hotel-y”, with “ large two storey blocks of rooms built around pools. Which may suit some, but is not my thing personally. But luckily the front half, including where the Villa Suites I stayed in are located, is much nicer - open & spacious, low-rise, beautiful tropical gardens. The staff are terrific - better than even the typically high standard in Thailand. Pattaya Beach here, and to the west, is lovely. It goes downhill as you go east from here. The only constructive criticisms I can make are: The hotel wastes / really should make better use of its beachfront. It’s covered in tables - that no one uses during the day - rather than sun beds and similar. Put sunbeds on the beach during the day, swap for tables in the evening, and it would be so much better. Food & drink prices are pretty outrageous unfortunately, even by the standards of higher end places on Lipe. This does leave a bit of a sour taste. More lights in the bathroom, particularly around the mirror, would be appreciated (the simple fact I’m listing this shows how little there is to criticise, though!)."

"A taste of paradise. Loved our time here. Terrific restaurant on the property overlooking the turquoise waters with the friendliest staff. I hope we can make it back again soon. If you can, try to get your open water scuba certification on the island. Ten minute walk on the beach to the scuba business with also the amazing sunrise yoga with Keiritas Yoga - the best yoga on the island. "

The entrance, demure yet inviting, immediately set the mood. A warm welcome from a delightful couple made me feel truly at home. I was effortlessly ushered through the check-in process by the ever-efficient Ms. Aum, who swiftly snapped a copy of my passport. Before I knew it, Mr. Ton, the ever-attentive concierge, was already waiting with my carry-on bags, ensuring that every need was anticipated and met. Strolling down through lush greens, I arrived at pool villa 6—a space that epitomizes rustic chic. Every little detail was meticulously curated, reflecting a harmonious blend of tropical elegance and simplicity. This enchanting villa served as the perfect backdrop for my “White Lotus”-inspired birthday getaway. Villa 6 aptly named “Jumpa” (Malay for “See You”), the villa felt like a heartfelt invitation to return, encapsulating the true spirit of serendipity."

However, the absolute highlight was dinner on the beach at night in the hotel's restaurant...beautiful ambiance and some of the best food we have had in Thailand!"

"Sam Pita has an excellent location, about 5 minutes to Sunrise beach and about 8 minutes to Pattaya beach and about one minute to the north end of Walking Street. Sunset beach is about a 30 minute walk or a 3 minute taxi ride. North Point beach (Zodiac) is about a 12 minute walk. The staff are very nice, the breakfast was decent enough and the pool was a welcome change from going to the beach. The air conditioning worked very well and was quiet. There was great water pressure in the shower but didn’t get very hot. The room is very spacious with a mini fridge and a big washroom and a large shower. The WiFi was passable and sometimes was very slow but I read that this could be the case all over the island. The area is kept very clean and a huge bonus was that they have a service to pick up you and your bags from the pier - this was huge and a major stress reliever since it would be very difficult to take your bags on your own or hiring a taxi which would be hard at the rush when a boat arrives. I would highly recommend this hotel especially after seeing some of the other I was considering."
