"There were 2 terrible and nasty and rude young women with long blonde hair on arrival Wednesday the 29 of April and AGAIN when we left on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 11:38. Why don’t they have to wear name tags??? We were in room 342 (the SAME ROOM we stayed in May of 2025!) and could NOT GET HOT WATER!! When we complained at the desk, they sent someone up (AGAIN WITH NO NAME TAG or identification indicating he WORKED THERE!!) and told us in order to get hot water for a shower you have to run the water in the sink AND run the BATH water simultaneously for sometimes over 5 minutes!!! This was the SAME problem we encountered LAST YEAR!!!! No one has seen to this problem in a FULL YEAR???!!! The shower definitely needs an upgrade.. the tile on the walls is discolored and disgusting. I have had issues with 2 Hilton properties in New York in 2024 for almost the same reasons; sloppy, rude staff and FILTHY bathrooms. I will probably NEVER stay at a Hilton again as they have become comparable to a Motel 6, in my opinion. I will also send this to Ben Welsh Front office manager"

"This was my second time staying at the Sailmakers House and I will definitely continue to come back on all my visits to Portsmouth! The building and rooms are clean, cozy and quiet. The location is absolutely perfect for enjoying everything downtown Portsmouth has to offer, food, shopping, and sightseeing. 10/10 would recommend!"

"I could connect to the Hotel's WIFI, but the WIFI connection to the internet was terrible. OK to read email. but not good enough to do any real work from my room. Also, as a pet friendly Hotel there should be a dog walk area."

"I’ve stayed here a couple times it was late when I got in. It was difficult to even get a cup of tea and the person at the desk acted like she was annoyed. The place is clean. The beds are comfortable. I keep coming back for that one reason otherwise I wouldn’t stay there. Staff should get an attitude adjustment. . Staff should get a attitude adjustment. "
