"We really enjoyed our 2 night stay, rooms were spacious and nicely appointed. We enjoyed the pool and the safaris organized by the lodge, who supplies rangers in addition to drivers in the safari vehicles. We opted to add an optional safari to increase our chances of seeing the elephants and leopards. Excellent staff, Sasha was very helpful, Venura in the restaurant was great and so was our Ranger Amida. "

"All staff members are so kind and friendly. Every service was perfect and comfortable for me from the checking in to checking out. We booked the hotel very last minutes, but the staff helped me for the meal arrangement and the safari arrangement smoothly so there was no inconvenience and negative comments for the stay! I’d like to come and visit here again. "

"Bel environnement et bel accueil néanmoins nous avons retrouvé un cafard pendant notre séjour dans la chambre. Le personnel est bienveillant mais ça peut être “étouffant” notamment pendant le repas où ils attendent “à côté” de nous la fin de nos plats. Ceci était peut être du au peu de fréquentation pendant notre séjour. Cependant la vue est parfaite pour ce reposer le long de la piscine face aux plantations de riz"

"When we arrived at Laya Safari, the property was virtually empty - and we could hardly believe it, as it was one of my top hotel experiences…and I have spent hundreds of nights in hotels. While the road to get to this little beachside oasis is very bumpy, it is well worth the ride. The rooms have an amazing view of the pool area and the coastline and while the current is too strong to swim in the sea, the roar of the ocean is the perfect sound to fall asleep to. "Majatalo oli pieni, siinä näytti olevan vain kaksi huonetta (jotka molemmat olivat isoja). Sijainti oli syrjäinen, mutta hyvä Yalan kansallispuistoa ajatellen. Syrjäisen sijainnin vuoksi oli käytännössä pakko syödä majatalossa. Sieltä sai ruokaa tilaamalla sen etukäteen. Ruoka ei ollut mitenkään ihmeellistä, esim. kana oli kuivaa. Huone oli hyvässä kunnossa. Se oli sisältä vähän pimeä, koska katossa ei ollut lamppua. Huoneessa oli useita pistorasioita, joihin sopi suoraan suomalaisetkin...

"Duty manager was extremely helpful throughout our stay. It is fairly rural so it’s a bit of a walk to shops / restaurant or a short tuk tuk ride. Ideal location for visiting Yala NP. The restaurant food was nice but quite pricy. "
