"This is a recently renovated Gold Rush era hotel, very quaint and authentic. The rooms and bathrooms have been updated to modern standards which is nice, but have authentic period decor/antiques. The town is VERY small and cute, extremely quiet (in general) and a walkable historic self-guided tour. It makes a great base of operations for exploring the area.
A couple of things to know: it is 3 story, but because of the age, there is no elevator (typical with Gold Rush era hotels). They have one...
"Our stay was short but we enjoyed it very much. Extremely prime location especially for young families, clean, tidy and useful amenities. Tesla charging station is a plus. We would stay there again. "
"Entrance to the home was a bit scary because of the dropped off to the garage floor, especially at night when it was dark! The hot tub didn't look clean based on the look of the water. Other than that, everything else was fine. "
"I’m hiking Tahoe Rim Trail and use this as a resupply stop. It’s well positioned for either Blockaway Summit or Mount Rose. The people are very friendly and kind storing my material for my pick up. Room is large. Nice bathroom has a pool and chairs."
"We had a nice stay here, the view from the room was excellent. The little beach, the big patio are excellent features. The walls doesn’t have great sound insulation, but we had quiet neighbors. Overall it’s a great accomodation I would stay here anytime in the future. "
