ROOM WAS CLEANED EVERY DAY AND THEY LEAVE A BOTTLE OF WATER AND SOME BISCUITS. fOOD IN THE BAR WAS EXCELLENT BUT A LITTLE BIT OVER PRICED BUT OVERALL A GOOD PLACE TO STAY

Good Stay Inn

Our 3 night stay was very pleasant and the Globe Inn provided good value. Our room was comfortable and clean and offered all that was required. The Breakfast was good and the Evening meals purchased were acceptable.

Very friendly staff who made us most welcome. The meals were excellent. particularly breakfast. The bar was kept open, at our request, on Sunday evening so we could meet the family of the deceased before the funeral. A very important and emotional gathering of old friends.

Nice quiet country pub

Stopped off here on a solo motorcycle trip round Devon and Cornwall. Excellent quiet location, friendly staff and really good food. Noted for my next trip

Stayed for one night but have dined here on several occasions. The room was lovely, comfortable, and clean, with an excellent breakfast offering many choices. The food has consistently exceeded typical inn fare. The staff were friendly and extremely welcoming.

Really friendly staff (especially the breakfast lady!) and a great location. I probably should have researched first to spot live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. That wasn’t that much of an issue as over by 22.30 (both bands were pretty good to be fair) but the rowdy hen party on Saturday kept us awake long after the band had finished.

We booked very last minute, due to an unforeseen problem with our holiday cottage. When we arrived it was literally 5 mis before they stopped serving food BUT the chap said I'll go and ask the chef .,. He did and we enjoyed a very hearty excellent steak and ale pie each. Absolutely delicious, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast cooked to order and v attentive staff throughout.

Overall, a good stay. Friendly staff and good food. There is a weird, quite load humming/droning noise outside room 2 which would benefit investigation as it was quite annoying when trying to sleep.

Room pleasant if noisy as over the bar and with road frontage. Bed extremely comfortable. On arrival we were told food only available until 6.45pm and outside due to a quiz night. Quiz night extremely loud and went on until well after 11pm. Apparently we had been sent an email informing us of this but neither we nor, our friends who arrived later have ever received this. Breakfast on both days was extremely disappointing. Very limited cereal choices (2), cooked breakfast was generally overcooked except for the mushrooms which were oyster mushrooms and barely cooked at all. All accompanied by sourdough bread only (no other choice available) which was inedible as, once toasted it could not be cut or buttered easily, it was so hard and brittle. There was no choice of jams, only packs of strawberry, no marmalade or honey. Apparently they don’t offer any of these!! All in all an extremely poor experience which let them down badly.
