The luxury eco tents with en-suite were looking tired, comfy bed great showers, would have liked a fridge. All staff were excellent, very run off their feet, and still friendly and helpful. Mathew gorge was fabulous, walking kms we found inaccurate. Relaxing ,good food for the venue.

The bar area was great. Staff great. Our room was smelly as the toilet wouldn’t flush from day one. The floor in bathroom was wet as the toilet system seemed to leak. Maintenance man fixed it on second day.

Fantastic! Great location with easy access to some of the gorges. The staff, food, bar and accommodation were wonderful. Some great locations to visit on the station and then there are helicopter flights for those interested. Highly recommended stopover

This place caters to tour groups and to self sufficient campers but not to the in- between category ie people that travel by car and without camping equipment. You can purchase fancy cocktails there but there is no one to help you change a tyre. There is no hosepipe so you can clean your car when it has a centrmeter’s worth of red dust on it. Staff do not have the answers to anything beyond the confines of the property. Frankly these watering holes on the Gibb are vital but let’s provide some practical help. Cocktails are a nice add-on but will not help you get a shredded tyre fixed. I would advise travellers against the 50 km detour from the Gibb. Press on to Windkanal or mount Barnett for a type of hospitality that feels less commercialised and has more of the northern Aussie pioneer spirit

Stayed in a homestead room - very clean and comfortable - exceeded expectations. Bar was great, amazing cocktails and pizza. Best bit of Mt Hart - staff. Nothing is too much trouble.

It was nice clean and neat area that the teepee tent that we slept in was on. It was rather cold at night though and we had to take the blankets off the single bed so that we were warm enough. Only negative thing was that the generator kicked in at 2am in the morning keeping us awake while it was on.

We loved our stay at Mt Hart. We spent 2 nights, one in a natures view bell tent and one in a homestead room. Did this due to avaialility and having 1 afternoon with air-conditioning for our 2yo to nap. Tents are as per photos, spacious and comfortable - little electric "generator" was handy for charging electricals. Homestead room was very comfortable and spacious with lovely ensuite. Grounds at the Lodge are great with bar, communal campfire at night. We spent a whole day there off the Gibb River Road taking advantage of the nearby sites at Matthew Gorge and Barkers Pool and walking the creekline through the campground.

A gem in the wilderness!

A good gravel road leads to a comfortable, well-run lodge with safari-style accommodation. Excellent food, laid back atmosphere, attentive staff.

An oasis in the Kimberley

A great stopover along the iconic Gibb River Road Host Colin and staff very friendly and nothing a problem Stayed in an ensuite tent which was very comfortable Restaurant served up excellent meals and also a packed lunch can be arranged Sunset hill out the back across the airstrip provided a brilliant Kimberley sunset

Flavour of the outback

We had a fabulous 2 night's stay here in July. But, how do you rate such a remote location? It's nearly an hour's drive in off the Gibb River Rd, so allow yourself some time to enjoy it once you get there. Our room was extremely comfortable - tropical decor, wrap-around verandahs and oh-so atmospheric, as only northern cattle homesteads can be (it only loses a point because it is shared-bathroom facility). Our hosts, the managers, worked hard to provide excellent meals. They were very welcoming and super-helpful, guiding us with suggestions such as access to the station's gorge where a good day can be spent hiking and swimming. For something different and because we had some camp equipment with us, we chose to spend one of our nights at the homestead's campground, a short drive away from the homestead. The campground is well cared for, with very clean individual toilet & shower rooms and campers are made welcome to join in at the homestead's alfresco eating and bar area.

Great place to stay - incredible food

The homestead was very welcoming, warm, friendly, & beautiful, but the home-cooked meals were the highlight!
