This was (almost a little unexpectedly) a wonderful 2-night experience. This was our first ski trip to Killington and I chose to stay here due to all the positive reviews. I was between this inn and the seemingly more modern Killington Mountain Lodge but after our stay, I could not have been more satisfied with my choice.
This inn is centrally located amongst various restaurants and taverns and also only about a 5 min drive to Killington’s Snowshed Basecamp. It may not be the most modern hotel but it is very well-kept and clean. During our stay, we had drinks then dinner on 2 separate nights in their bar/lounge area served by Bill, one of the proprietors. The conversation, food and drink were all top-notch.
Only complaints I have would be that food and drink was a little pricey and the bed/pillows were not the most comfortable. However, I would stay here again and for at least a week next time!
Really enjoyed my stay, and the Inn keepers are fantastic!! Breakfast was outstanding! Didn't make time to enjoy their restaurant at dinner, unfortunately as I have heard rave reviews. Specifically my room was nice and comfy, but it was semi loud because almost every occupant had to walk by room. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Birch Ridge Inn!
The hosts were very pleasant. They are really very nice people. The hotel is clean, shines and new. The bed is comfortable. The furniture is new. The room is pleasant to be in. Breakfasts are delicious. I stayed five nights and each morning there was a different breakfast. One thing you have to be mindful of is that breakfast starts at 8:00 am, the same time that Killington Mountain opens. I am a very early riser and it would mean a lot to me if breakfast would begin an hour earlier. I highly recommend that hotel.
