Atmospheric Hotel in Middle of Kezmarok

I took my parents to Kezmarok and needed a big room, so we booked the junior suite. It was rather spacious and had a lovely balcony overlooking the hotel courtyard and the Tatras. The hotel is atmospheric -a series of old homes/businesses that are now connected. This gives the hallways a bit of a byzantine effect, but I thought it added to the property's character. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is about as centrally located as it can be in Kezmarok. Able to easily walk to everything. Parking on site was free. The staff was not overly friendly, but were cordial. That's the lone modest drawback, but still I give this hotel a 5/5.

I choose this hotel bc it was rated highly but I was a bit disappointed. It is an interesting place. It is a historical building and hotel is made up of 4 attached homes, They have a bowling alley with 2 lanes in the basement which was fun. We had a junior suite which was lovely and spacious. It was very clean. The beds were firm. There is no AC so we had to open the windows. There were minimal mosquitos but there were some giant spiders who had their homes in the windows so that was scary. My biggest complaint about this place is the smoking. It is non smoking but they have a “cigar bar” on the first floor. The smoke permeates the first floor and the carpet has soaked up the smell which gives casino vibes. Our room looked over the outdoor restaurant where smoking is allowed which came up into our room thought the open windows. The location is good, close to the castle. There is a restaurant which did make a vegan dish fit my daughter when requested. The waiters in the restaurant were exceptionally rude. I did complain to the manager by email about the bartender/waiter so she gave us a free round of bowling and was apologetic. Unless you are a smoker or have fond memories of the 70s I would not recommend.

Overpriced for such a small room

Strange maze of corridors, 3rd floor room was extremely small and difficult to move around in. Windows were on ceiling, making it impossible to open and close them or even get the room adequately dark inside. Spa was nice, but hot-tub was only warm, not hot. Overpriced place, but lovely staff that highly trained and welcoming.

Amazing hotel, a hidden gem

Modern large rooms, helpful staff, parking available in hotel, on a high streel close to restaurants and shops though note that a lot of restaurants r closed during dinner, but hotel restaurant is good so no issues what so ever.
