"Beautiful Resort. Very disappointing staff. Upon arrival, the person at the desk was annoyed & stated that it was too early for checkin. As I travel the world, I have never been greeted this way. The usual response is that if the room is not ready you may use the resort until which time the room becomes available. There have been many times that upon arrival if the room is ready the staff is happy to check you in. It was 11:00A, not early morning. When checking back on room...

"Rooms were small, but quaint and clean."

"Great place in a wonderful location. The staff was excellent!!"

"Great location however no one was on sight when we arrived, no batteries in the tv remote, pillows smelled sour very nasty, it took two of my three day stay to resolve this, the ac did not work properly the fix was to put a very loud dehumidifier in our very small room. Overall not pleased for the amount of money we payed to stay here"

"Cool pool and property is close to southernmost point."

"The most relaxing, quiet atmosphere I’ve ever experienced in Key West. Beautiful landscaping, great breakfast. And best of all when you’re ready for a little party action, Duval Street is only two blocks away."

"The overall stay was good. We loved the character of the old building but in our room the glass shower door was very tight to get in and kept hitting the toilet. The deck around the pool definitely needs to be replaced as there are loose boards. The deck on the second floor also needs attention. Other than those couple of things we really enjoyed it. Nice place for a great price!"

"We loved our stay at Opal. We had a wonderful pool view room with a nice sized balcony. The poolside lounge was a great place to grab drinks and light snacks during the famous Key West sunsets! The workout room was top notch. We especially liked that we could walk practically anywhere we wanted to go."
