We stayed at The Royal Oak this weekend. We loved it from start to finish. Room was lovely. Spacious and comfortable. We did get an upgrade which was a very lovely surprise. Breakfast was 5 star. We had dinner in the hotel one of the nights - again it was amazing. Very busy but that shows how good it is. Overall we loved it and would definitely recommend it to others. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful which really adds to the experience. Our dog even got treated like royalty! Thank you for making our little break so great. We’ll definitely return!

Had a wonderful stay. This hotel is so dog friendly. The staff were amazing. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Cant recommend this place enough. We will definitely be returning.

From the time checked in the housekeeping hosts sought to make sure we had what we needed and were comfortable. We needed to leave earlier than breakfast serving time to catch our train and the kitchen was kind enough to send us with a take away. I’d highly recommend this hotel because of their attentiveness to us personally.

Nice stay. Room was well equipped including coffee machine. Staff at breakfast were excellent, so friendly and professional. Great location in the centre of Keswick next to all the shops, restaurants and bars.

Great hotel in the center of town
Great hotel with the sweetest staff! They assisted with everything and was so nice! Great hotel for dogs as well. The trays outside of the rooms for muddy boots was the cherry on top! Like most old buildings in th UK it gets a bit damp but the room was nice and clean

Really nice stay at the Royal Oak. Staff were super friendly and went out there way to make sure our stay was a good one. They also made a big fuss of my 6 month old Golden Retriever who ate like a king! Food was great and the location couldnt have been nire perfect. Thank you so much to everyone!

Excellent location, well presented rooms all in good style with the location, nice hotel, breakfast was good and not greasy for a full english, very very dog friendly, loved this about the place and the staff clearly all dog people. Will definitely stay again

Fantastic cosy hotel with the most wonderful staff who make you feel so relaxed and looked after. Only minor issue was the glass sliding shower door which came off its rollers.

Keswick Break
From the moment we arrived to the minute we left, the hospitality we received from the warm welcoming, friendly staff was incredible. Our dog was spoilt rotten with love and treats. Both Sunday lunch and Breakfast were beautiful. Our room was modern and very clean. But without doubt the staff make this such a special place.

Just lovely!
Lovely, lovely stay. Stayed here years back and still just as wonderful. Staff are very attentive and welcoming. Breakfast is fab!! Really recommend to anybody wanting to stay in Keswick. The hotel room carpet is very dirty. The hotel can be noisy at times. Finally the management needs to work on the art of customer service and respect their customers when making a request.

Best dog friendly stay I’ve ever had.
We stayed one night on the way back from Scotland to London with our dog. They staff were very welcoming and friendly. They LOVE dogs so it was a holiday for our pup aswell. They also do a doggy dinner of mash, chicken and gravy for £1.60!! Food was good, room was Cozy, loads to do around town. Have already recommended it to friends. We would stay again for sure

Fantastic central location. Friendly staff and felt very welcome with the doggo. Room was lovely.

Lovely pub hotel decorated beautifully very clean offering a very good breakfast. However we found the room noisy, having been woke up early with dogs baking and bins being emptied.

Brilliant place, fantastic staff.
What a brilliant inn! A great bar with a fabulous selection of local ales, plus the standard largers and beers. Check in was friendly and efficient. The room, warm and cosey with a lovely, comfortable bed, plenty of storage and a good sized, clean bathroom. The shower was fantastic - hot and powerful. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice and good quality. But the best thing about the place was the staff - absolutely fantastic, every one of them. Friendly, cheerful, helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. I’d stay again in a heartbeat and would thoroughly recommend.

The property was very old, but updated in the best way...great character with modern amenities and very clean. Room was pretty tiny.
