This is an exceptional hotel. Situated on a beautiful lake with swans and ducks. Beautiful building with an outstanding restaurant with the best duck entre ever. The breakfast was outstanding. The staff are als incredible. A special thank you to Marisa.

Lovely oasis in Karlovac

Only issue with hotel was noise... but as with so many hotels in Croatia, it was constructed before soundproofing was a "thing" - so of you ever have a need or desire to stay in Karlovac bring a sound machine or some ear plugs and enjoy this charming hotel with excellent service and comfortable rooms. Right on the river, in the middle of a lovely park, we very much enjoyed our stay except for being awakened too often and too early by hallway noise. The included breakfast was also good, but repetitive, so maybe not great for a longer stay.

Fint hotell med bra läge

Fint gammalt hotell precis bredvid floden. Bra mat på kvällen men frukost var inte så imponerande. Vi hade ett lite större rum och det var riktigt stort. Bra för vi var 3st och det var som två rum med två wc och en dusch👍

Sehr schönes Haus, sehr schöne Umgebung und der nettes Personal. Leider wurde bei der Buchung nicht erwähnt, dass eine Hochzeit stattfindet und es somit bis Mitternacht nicht sehr ruhig war.

A comfortable hotel in the middle of a city park.

Korana Srakovcic is a small, well maintained family - owned four-star hotel in a city park, just close to the river Korana in which one can swim in the summer. The staff was pleasant and helpful when we asked about local attractions. The hotel also runs a small restaurant where one can get local and international food. The only thing that a bit disappointed us was a very small pool (it looked bigger in hotel photos). Nevertheless, it's a nice place for a quiet weekend (or for a stay-over when travelling by car to the Croatian coast from the European mainland).

bellissimo hotel immerso in un parco stupendo . ottimo servizio e anche le camere sono molto ben curate. Unico neo la sauna che non è gestita in modo corretto. È una sauna a due posti e bisogna prenotarla, però nessuno la controlla e non si può arieggiare molto . Quando ho cercato di usarla l'ho trovata con il 60% di umidità per che precedentemente si è esagerato con l'uso di essenze e aggiunta d'acqua. Il massimo di umidità dev'essere 30%. per il resto un ottimo hotel, anche la cena e la colazione sono state ottime

Residenza d'epoca tra parco e fiume Korana

Grande relax in caratteristico hotel d'epoca completamente rinnovato in stile. Immerso tra i parchi alberati di Karlovac, il cui piccolo centro storico si trova ad una breve passeggiata. Piacevole la cena e la colazione sulla terrazza affacciata sul fiume. Veramente un soggiorno originale e rilassante come in altri tempi.

The Gem on the Korana

I love this hotel, it was our fourth summer visit (with relatives in Karlovac, I always try to visit when traveling anywhere nearby in Europe--usually from Italy). The hotel is classy, comfortable, with a lovely location right on the Korana River. Restaurant, breakfast buffet are very nice, there are amenities such as an indoor pool, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. This time, however, the hotel was showing just a bit of age. For some reason the air conditioning is getting noisier yet less effective. It took a long time to get a hot, stuffy room comfortable even as the din of the fan straining to cool it was irritatingly loud. The thermostats they have installed--to save money?--are a huge pain and do not work well. You basically have to ask the front desk to set your room temperature. And ask again, and maybe a third time, because the system is not accurate or sensitive. We had to change rooms once, and with the problems in our second room the staff assistant literally said "I think you should forget about the air conditioning and just open the window." Really, just forget the a/c and admit the humidity and mosquitoes (it is over a river, after all) when paying $ 125 for the most basic room in what is supposed to be a 4-star hotel? This was a step backward, as is the Wifi (that now requires getting a little scrap of paper with a different password for each device). These small irritants aside, still a lovely stay at a great hotel.
