"Very cool place to stay. No ghosts spotted 😀. Make sure you pack light as there is no elevator and the stairs are very uneven. Restaurant was great and the breakfast was very good. All employees were very helpful. Make sure you take a walk around the grounds and trails."

"Good bed, very quiet, and ability to check in late were positives. The check in with the lock code was a faff, including the need to ask for the code. The lack of breakfast was a major minus, the snack bar did not cut it really. There was also a strange man standing around and hover over my daughter when we were leaving, it really hit home the lack of staff. With the tired rooms, the place felt like a hostel more than anything, and I was glad to move on."

It has a charming bay seating area and a brick patio off the front door with a fine wicker table and chairs for two. The room is quiet and clean with sleeping for three. We had never stayed at a pension before. Our experience here changed our bias. Would stay here again!"

"Great reviews so booked at short notice, wish we hadn’t. The room was spacious but had a number of annoying or safety issues. First of all the blinds didnt go all the way down leaving bright sunlight streaming directly onto the bed. The bathroom was awful after a shower, just like a skating rink. The worst was the electric lead, plugged in, which then trailed across the corridor, and out the front door, twice we nearly went flying when we...

"We usually rate a bathroom on the number of safety bars available. Although it seems to be a very new hotel, it could use some bars as there were none. Check-in was interesting and thankfully we had read our email before we arrived. Comfortable beds."
