It was a decent stay. We liked how clean the room was and the other guests were also quiet and respectful. The hostel is a little run-down but overall clean and safe.
This hostel was good. Beds were comfy but the room was a bit small. The kitchen/dining area was nice but we could only find one bowl.
Overally it was a good place to crash for the night with some nice views in the area
Nice and clean place, bathrooms were a bit smelly and also not in the best condition, but clean.
The kitchen was okay, the view from the dining room is nice.
A great spot for a night. Our cottage was comfortable for 4 adults. No blackout curtains meant that I had to create my own. Towels are also not included in the price. Otherwise a stunning setting, which we enjoyed with a clear blue sky.

Check in was self service was fine. Beds are hard, was missing a towell.
Only 2 toilets for 6 rooms is not enough.
View is amazing.

This was your typical hostel. The private room was cozy and included with towels and sheets. There are only two bathrooms, which was challenging in the morning and many people were getting ready for their days. The showers are also communal and pretty basic. If you are looking for a more private stay, I would recommend the guesthouse. Overall, this worked out well for us as we only needed a place to sleep. The scenery outside the hostel was absolutely beautiful, and if we’d had more time, we would have explored.
The location is convenient, just off Route 1. We were staying in the main building. The room was tiny and the walls were very thin, although this is not uncommon in hostels/guesthouses in Iceland as far as we could see. The kitchen was simply terrible, lacking even the most basic supplies such as dish soap, let alone salt/pepper. The decor and fabric of the building were dated and it was clear that it had not been refurbished in a long time.
The room was clean but very thin walls and we could hear the conversation from the room next to ours. Overall was a good one night stay on our road trip.
