The staff were great with my daughter who has multiple allergies. The staff all new every allergy and were very helpful especially Katy and Orla. The only thing I was disappointed with was I booked a 2 night stay and wasn’t allowed to use the outdoor hot tub as I hadn’t booked a treatment which I feel wasn’t fair considering the amount of money I had spent in the hotel.

Great place.
Just stayed for one night. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was good and the overall atmosphere was really good. They were busy but the staff were attentive and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay

The place itself is great. However, they do a big fail on smaller but essential items easily rectified. For instance my father ordered a burger and it took 40 minutes to turn up, which was cold and bland. The chips were cold and mash potato too. During break fast the items always look a little tired and they use that god awful fake scrambled eggs everyone hates to save pennies and Tesco cheap as chips bread…. When it should be bespoke sourdough to reflect the quality of the hotel. Also sometimes the servers just didn’t care or would say drop toast off and run off and you’ll be chasing them for butter and cutlery. We have noticed these patterns over multiple nights and staff so wasn’t one off moments. Which is a shame because the venue itself is absolutely amazing. If they can focus on the kitchen and service they will nail it.

Nice staff, nice hotel, good food, no milk in room to start with, No hot water on the second night, beds only made as far as throwing wrinkled sheets back on not what i would expect from a 4/5 star hotel, carpets had a few stains on them,

My wife and I had not idea what to expect when we booked Bowfield House, but from the very moment we walked through the front door, until the moment we checked out a couple of days later, we realised we had found the holy grail of stays. Genuinely friendly staff who were happy to interact with both guests and other staff members, great facilities, such as pool, spa, restaurant, etc. our room was cosy and spot on and the food was fantastic. Next time we head towards Glasgow, this will be where we stay for years to come I hope.

Lovely hotel. But ask for room upstairs as the sound proofing is not great on the ground floor. That said the food is good and breakfast is v good.

Very nice, super friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant was really good too. But the beds were not comfy- flat, firm mattresses and flat pillows. Also, the rain shower gets the whole bathroom floor wet since there is no barrier (only a narrow piece of glass to block the toilet only). It’s kinda gross and you need to wear slippers or shoes. Our heated towel rack didn’t work but that wasn’t a huge deal for us.

Good, failed by the bar and restaurant
Overall a nice play to stay. The gym and the pool are very nice, rooms are fine and the staff very friendly and helpful. A nice touch for parents is a softplay with a cafe. The promise of the bar's and restaurant's decor however meets the reality of very poor food and drinks menu. The food menu is unimaginative and my dinner was less than average with a lazy presentation. Five basic red wines and very limited whisky in the bar with poor food makes it feel cheap. Fix the bar and the restaurant and the place will be great!

Lovely first visit
Fantastic first stay, well impressed with check in by Vivienne who managed to get our room accessed before official check in. She showed us where everything was and location where room located. Angela at pool area was helpful and could not fault attentive Michael at dinner or Rosie at breakfast. The facilities, pool spa etc where first class. The rooms beautiful cosy and bathroom spotless. Would definitely recommend and we will return for another visit.

Superb friendly and helpful

Cracking hotel - average restaurant
Spa facilities were excellent, nice small court yard area for drinks. Very pleasant overall, meal/breakfast was average
