Great value for money

This Guest House was a great surprise! The rooms are very big and clean and the wide marble bathroom is wonderful! WiFi, big flatscreen TV, sofa, fridge, water cooker and mineral water is in the room. The Guest House is in a quite and safe place and can easily be reached by foot from Rosebank Mall (ca. 1 km, during the day it is safe to walk). Great breakfast included, the owner and the staff are really nice. I would go back here any time, I felt really good and safe. Thank you for making me feel at home!

Highly recommended!

I was so pleased with the hotel, I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Joburg! The room was large, clean, and had nice amenities and was so relaxing. The TV room, outside living area, and bar made the hotel feel like a second home. On top of everything, the property owner and staff were so kind as they went out of their way to make me feel welcome!

What a great discovery!!

My weekend at Q on First was one for the books. Beautiful establishment with gorgeous gardens, stylish interior and super friendly staff. I booked a standard twin room but upon arrival I discovered that I received a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room! (Thank you!) Jabulani was attentive, making sure I had everything I might need and Lungi served me delicious breakfasts every morning. Although the location is central (walking distance from Rosebank Mall) it is quite and tranquil. I will definitely make Q on First my regular spot when I travel to Joburg.

Home Away From Home

Dear Adrian and team, thank you so much for making me feel like at home during my 10 day business trip to Johannesburg. The guest house was located in a perfect area close to the Rosebank Mall with its many good restaurants, movie theaters and stores. The guest house itself felt like an oasis in the busy city: beautiful and comfortable rooms, a lovely living and outdoor area with pool and a delicious breakfast. And the service was outstanding: Adrian (the manager) was available and present every day, even on Sunday! Lungile cooked a wonderful breakfast every day and Thabang, Jaburani and Matthew took care of the rooms, the maintenance and security every night. Thank you again for making me feel comfortable, safe and welcome in a big, unknown city!

Stunning Guesthouse in Johannesburg!

Absolutely fabulous guesthouse with the best staff and the glorious decor and settings in the common area. Freshly prepared breakfast was amazing too!

Adrian made us feel at home

We arrived at Q on First for the final night of a two week vacation, after a long ride from Kruger Park. The inn was exactly what we needed — welcoming, clean, comfortable and definitely living up to the tagline of “affordable luxury”. Our rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The spacious bathroom, heated floors, lovely shower, refrigerator with bottled water and super comfortable bed were welcoming after 4 days of safari living. The breakfast was made to order (either an omeletter or English Breakfast) along with an assortment of fresh fruit, cereals and yogurt. Adrian, the manager, offered great advice for restaurants and seeing the area, as well as getting to the Apartheid Museum. Our flight the next day didn’t leave until 9pm, so Adrian held our luggage after checking out. After sightseeing in the morning, we came back and rested in the covered patio and lounge area, made drinks at the Honesty Bar, and warmed up our leftovers in the area kitchen for an early dinner before heading out. It was the perfect, comfortable, welcoming way to end our vacation. We felt both pampered and completely at home. We highly recommend Q on First.
