Lovely Guesthouse in a Suburb of Pretoria

Oppi Hoek Guesthouse is located in Riviera, a suburb of Pretoria. It's a lovely place, staffed by friendly and helpful folks. The owners, Jannie and his wife Susan, were wonderful hosts and prepared great breakfasts. Their daughter, Charlene, at reception, allowed this senior citizen to check in early--which was very kind. The housekeepers, Florence and Cecelia, did an excellent job!

This property showed it had air con in the rooms. None of the rooms had air con and it was so hot. I struggled to sleep in the heat.

The Expedia ad mentioned A/C. This property has no A/C. It was >30 celsius, and I wanted a room with A/C. The staff kindly found alternative accommodation at another nearby hotel. It was basic and under sale, and the wifi did not extend to the room. It was kind of them to do this, but overall, I wish I had never used Expedia for this.

Bon accueil, conviviale et disponible. Service de nettoyage vêtements à la pièce. Petit bémol aboiements des 2 chiens du propriétaire la nuit, manque une table basse. La table, c'était nos valises. Pour l'arrivée, il faut appeler par téléphone pas de sonnette. Parking ok.

Reception lady service was bad

The white old lady at reception was soo rude to us. She cannot work with people at all, not good for the business. The old men n cleaning lady were soo friendly

Oppi Hoek fun

Great spot. Clean and tidy. Fridge and microwave in my room which helped for keeping some snacks and milk etc for coffee. If possible, maybe keep some cutlery and a slightly larger bin for rubbish? Besides that, super welcoming and friendly owners. I will definitely be going back if I am on business in Pretoria again!
