Fantastic experience

The room, common areas, and staff were all absolutely fantastic. We had a late flight out on our checkout day and they allowed us to pay a 1/2 day rate to check out at 6pm. We didn't sample the restaurants, but the bar makes a terrific cocktail

Fantastic stay

We had a two night stay the hotel was absolutely lovely, staff were excellent, rooms were super clean and well equipped, with comfy beds. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of good options for every tastebud.

I enjoyed the hotel very much, it was lovely inside and out. I especially enjoyed walking through the hotel doors and finding such a wonderful night life. There were many places to eat, and a live screen TV on the square made it fun to watch the soccer tournament in wide lounge chairs. Walking around the area was very entertaining as there were many sculptures and storefronts to check out. I would stay there again!

Love ❤️ staying at the hotel. When I'm not there, ask for my "secret" room : #110. On the main floor, sliding glass door to the garden and pool. Absolutely everything at this hotel is amazing - especially the staff 😍.

Staff opened my door without consent while in bath

It is a very nice hotel, however there was a major incident bringing my review down. There is frequent knocks on the door (not unique to this hotel - I experienced this also elsewhere in Southern African hotels), but this time, as I ignored the knocking while in the bath - they opened my door. I had the other bolt lock on, thankfully, but this was truly mortifying.

This trip was my 1st solo experience and I must say I had an amazing time. Mr. Dingaan made sure my trip went smoothly and took the extra mile to ensure I had the most amazing experience. Mr. Dingaan was an absolute delight and I'm very thankful our path encounter. He was the highlight of my trip. I can't thank him enough. Also, all the other hotel staff I encounter was very kind in helpful. From Ms. Pretty at the Front Desk, The waitress Tanya, and many more names I cant recall. I hope to visit again one day soon. I will refer this hotel to my friends and family who plans to visit South Africa in the near future.

Bad- Nickel and diming you to death

Booked this hotel and walked in to check in. I was told there would be a $87 fee to check in “early”. I asked what time checkin was and it was in 19 minutes. I was confused and clarified they were trying to charge me to check in 19 minutes early and they confirmed. I asked if the room was even ready for me and she said yes. Bring that the hotel is a higher cost hotel already I was disgusted with them for even suggesting to charge me to check in less than 20 min early. They could have either just told me to wait 20 or let me check in early at no fee. Checkout I asked if I could checkout an hour later and they did the same thing- told me the room was to be cleaned immediately upon my exit unless I paid $70 for another hour. I declined and sat at the pool area which was right outside my room instead. The room was not cleaned in the following 2 hours so they could have let me have a late checkout.
