The service was excellent. We were there for a short layover and would highly recommend it for something like that. They were very accommodating and it was so nice to have the free shuttle from/to the airport.

Lovely property. Quiet and hidden away. Catered to all needs. Short term stay. Was able to extend stay without any problem. Staff friendly and accomodating. .Property safe. No AC, guest amenities though.

Don’t stay

The freeway was right down the street from the hotel, not a nice neighborhood, sirens all night. Dump trucks, horns blowing, airplanes overhead all night, flies in the room. Would not ever stay again.

The place is clean, safe and staff very friendly. I was in room 14 and there's no air con in that room. It was freezing but eventually the lady brought a portable heater!

I love this lodge for many reasons: they are always prompt on picking me up at the airport and transporting me back to catch my continued flights. They communicate so well- constantly in touch via whats app and are quick to respond to questions or needs. The lodge has beautiful grounds and a lovely picnic area on the lawn. I wished the shower was cleaner and that there the room included soap and shampoo. Overall, I would go back again and recommend my friends.

Not good communication from property. Waited outside ringing bell for 15 mins and was approached by multiple people. Quite an unsafe area. I still await communication after my complaint.

DON’T STAY HERE!!! Very unsafe neighbourhood. No complimentary transfers available as car was broken. Front security gate was broken. Location is not three minutes from the airport as it claims to be. No way this is a four star place. Room door only has a glass door with a flimsy internal door lock. Man tried to enter our room. We arrived, had a look and left after 5 minutes to a safer environment. Please don’t be fooled by the pretty pictures and convenient options on the Expedia listing. I strongly advise you not to stay here. I was shocked and quite afraid.

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere is casual. At this time there is no lunch or dinner service. The breakfast options are limited but it is easy for vegetarians to have a good breakfast. There is a continuing problem with "power shedding" in Johannesberg. This occured at least twice a day. At this time, the property has to use a generator for power which ensures there is power to, keep the lights on. so to speak. Unfortunately, there is no internet at this time. They have a vehicle with driver who was available to take us to and from the airport, or out for a meal. The area was quiet except for the fact, it was under the flight path of planes taking off. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay here.

One to Avoid

The lodge is located in a dodgy area. We did not feel safe and there was loud music from neighbouring businesses. We were disturbed by loud talking and noise from adjoining rooms. It is run down and needs maintenance. The pool was not clean, the carpets tired and dirty. The DStv program bouquet is very limited and there were no guest supplies other than liquid soap. The bathroom was spacious and clean, but the towels were old and frayed. The pillows were past their useful life. The curtains were opaque and in poor repair. The shuttle service to the airport was excellent. This is not a keeper for us and we were disappointed that Hotels.com carries properties like this one on its books.

Old, motel like "lodge", with nice service

The "lodge" is more like an old motel, with 2 thatched roof buildings that make it look lodgy on the photo's. The area Kempton park isn't great and the lodge is quite old, the building, the furniture, everything is old. The service was quite good, with a prompt pickup and dropoff service tot the airport and the employees were nice. If i had realised the area which it is in I would not have booked it.

Topp für eine Nacht Dank kostenlosem Shuttle

Bequeme Betten, super hilfsbereites Personal. Die einfachsten Zimmer sind etwas spartanisch. Gutes Frühstück. Man hört die Flugzeuge relativ laut. Für eine Nacht gut, weil der Shuttle zum abholen und bringen inklusive ist.
