Clean, nicely decorated, great owner, free pickup!

Great location. Just past the main tourist walking street in Pingyao and it is accessible by licensed vehicles. The owner arranged a free pick up from the regular train station. Location is excellent. We also got upgraded to a better room with a larger bath. Room is very clean, bed is very comfy and owner is super nice explaining all the attractions, tours and shows patiently. Free Wi-fi works great, constant hot water and there is heat during the winter. Very authentic experience just like living in a local village! Highly recommended!

The room we stayed in was nice. It was very dusty in Pingyao. I asked for clean towels on the second day of our stay because they were dirty. It was an awkward conversation, clearly they did not want to provide clean towels. In the end they didn’t and we were left to use dusty dirty towels.

Installés dans la vieille ville et côté calme, tout était à proximité mais silencieux la nuit. Chambre et lit très bien, salle de bain qui fait son job. Le gérant parle anglais mais essayera de vous vendre toutes sortes de service, tout le temps.

Beautiful room

I think we were updated into a better room for free (the owner told me during a moment when I was rushing to catch my train so I didn't really have time to think about what he said). The room was beautiful and clean with the biggest bed I've ever seen. I think six people would fit without a bigger problem. Everyone was really nice and helpful (not everyone spoke English though but we didn't have any problem with that). The location is right in the middle of the city.

果然很好，老板很热情，入住这天一早就来电话，询问是否需要接站。客栈虽然离南大街非常近，但很安静，客栈布置很精致，房间很干净，和图片一样，卫生间设施都很好用，冬天入住一点也不用担心冷，配备的炕暖更是很少见，客栈的地理位置也很好，可谓闹中取静。房间很大，老板主动拿着地图为我们介绍古城里值得游玩的景点，还安排了第二天一早王家大院、张壁古堡、双林寺的拼车，老板给延长了退房时间，让我们休息好了直接去车站，不错的体验

a really nice quiet place where to stay in Pingyao

Jintaisheng Inn is a really nice quiet place where to stay in Pingyao. Nice room, nice and helpful, they can book a car driver for you (the also arranged for us a car from Taiyuan Airport) and reasonable prices.

a beautiful historic guesthouse

Pingyao is a very old town, enclosed by a city wall. We stayed at theJintaisheng Inn which was a beautiful historic guesthouse, with big courtyard and the beds were made of bricks. We have a modern en-suite. Our room looked like taken from the Ming and Qing Dynasty, but the bathroom is modern.The staff is very friendly and accommodating and always ready to help. They arranged a driver to pick up my friend and me . I personally found the beds very comfortable and the whole experience enchanting. I really enjoyed our stay there. I would love to stay there again.

Traditional Chinese courtyard guesthouse

We were looking for a traditional Chinese courtyard guesthouse so we booked this place. It was perfect for us. Great location in the centre of the old town and friendly, English speaking staff. You could walk to all the main sights. Room was very pretty and traditional. Had a brand new wet-room shower which was a bonus. Traditional bed was firm but comfortable. Toiletries provided. All in all a great stay and value. A lovely base for our time in Pingyao.
