A little piece of paradise tucked within a 4 minute walk to the beach. Quiet, tranquil, relaxing and quaint. Breakfast was Delicious. Staff was sweet and accommodating. We just checked out today and I already miss it!
Highly recommend White Palm to anyone looking tor a beautiful boutique hotel away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were absolutely incredible and the food is 10/10. Best breakfast we’ve had in Bali!
We had a wonderful stay at The white palm. It feels very intimate as there are not a lot of rooms, making it a very personal experience. The owners gave us excellent recommendations and the manager Petra is very helpful and friendly. Plus the lunch menu is very tasty!
The hotel was very nice! The decor was beautiful, pool and area lovely and breakfast delicious. The staff were also very friendly! It was about a 30 minute drive from Uluwatu/temple/town and a 5 minute walk to the beach. The two hotel cats were also such a nice addition to the property!
The time we spent in White Palm allows us to immerse into nature...fall in love with this place when first enter.
Loving the fact that there is no T.V, Nights off by 11.00pm.. listening to crickets chirping , birds singing, rooster to wake you up .. just love it.
We also met the owner.. super nice couple and special thank to their Hotel Manger - Petra... she is the very helpful and professional!
One thing to note, this is a Eco Lodge but not those extravagant resort in Bali. This boutique hotel focus on service and nature experience. Visitor must pace themselves to fit in and truly enjoy what this property is offering.
Great place. Great hospitality and a true boutique hôtel concept. Petra and as well the owner gave us great advises and really care for the wellbeing of their guests.
We highly recommend.
I wated a quiet place for my last night in Bali and i got it. The property is quiet, beautiful and well kept. I even met the owners Stephanie and Aziel, super extremely friendly, helpfull and accommodating. Loved my stay here. Next time i am booking more than one night.
Very comfortable, well-designed small hotel tucked away near Belangan Beach. Highly recommended and excellent value for money. Added bonus - the food is delicious, though a little pricey for dinner. The beach is avid surfer territory - walking distance past the cows and down a dirt road!
We stayed for 2 nights in which we enjoyed their quiet setting and relaxing atmosphere. Felt luxurious without all the extras. Extras available if you needed them. Very helpful and friendly staff. My only feedback would be the pillows were slightly too large for us. But everyone is different. A very comfortable bed in general. Beach is only 5min walk which offers other food options and beach relaxing. We enjoyed parking up on the beach and watching all the surfers and the sunset.
If I was to describe this place in a few words I would say: relaxed beach/bondi vibes with a touch of glam.
We will definitely come back and visit again.
The wooden floor was rotten and we fell through it. There were so many mosquitoes in rooms. AC hardly worked it was so not in rooms. No blinds on some windows so can’t sleep in or get baby to sleep in daytime. We asked to change rooms and told no. We left and asked for refund for the week we weren’t staying but they refused. Last Minute also didn’t give us refund. There is nothing around the hotel. The food is expensive. There is no shade over pool. Breakfast was the only good thing. Rooms have no soundproofing and have gaps to let in insects and geckos etc. So many cheaper nicer resorts in Sanur or Nusa Dua.
White Palm markets itself as “eco-chic,” but it’s really just glamping with better marketing — overpriced, underwhelming, and designed more for influencers than actual travellers. Don’t let curated photos of models in full brim hats fool you.
Unless you’re (a) a pro-level surfer (and I mean expert, the waves are elite class), (b) a social media personality who loves posing with swing sets and floating breakfasts, or (c) someone actively trying to disappear, I wouldn’t recommend it.
We stayed here on our honeymoon — our most expensive stop — and were disappointed almost immediately. The pool was dirty and heavily chlorinated (despite being advertised as “saltwater”). Construction noise next door made relaxing impossible. Villas were hot, poorly ventilated, and full of giant insects. Mosquitoes devoured us nightly, even with repellent and long sleeves.
You can’t bring in outside food or drinks, and while the on-site food is decent, it’s overpriced. Towels smelled weird, and its lights out at 11 p.m. because apparently you’re 9 years-old. Also, you can’t tip staff directly — it all goes into a communal envelope. Not sure if all of this is customary…
There’s also a portion of your payment that goes to a charity — not disclosed anywhere in advance. A head up would have been nice to ensure values are aligned.
We were encouraged to text the owners with any concerns. They were in Paris. Of course! Nothing says Bali like managing your “eco-hotel” while on airplane to France

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
This hotel looks nicer in the pictures than in reality unfortunately. We were two of only a handful of guests staying at the hotel (we only ever saw 4 other guests at most). Aside from being close to a beach, the location is quite far away from everything so if you want to go out for meals/other things it's pretty far (20 mins) and much easier by scooter vs. car as the rods are pretty tight and bumpy. The food/drinks menu at the hotel is limited, and pretty expensive in comparison - they have very high service fees, plus a random charity fee (??) they charge on top of food and drinks which felt like gauging. The cleanliness was also a bit questionable - I support eco friendly, but not at the expense of cleaning. Towels weren't refreshed and my beach towel had some gross stains on it. The whole hotel just felt a bit worn. The staff was friendly though, and they have 3 adorable hotel cats that we loved. Probably wouldn't recommend, but overall our stay was fine.
We had planned a five-night stay at the White Palm Hotel but ended up staying only one night before moving to another property.
Unfortunately, the hotel did not meet basic cleanliness or maintenance standards. The pool was dirty, the sunbeds were in poor condition, and there were numerous mosquitoes and other insects inside the room. My wife was covered in bites after the first night, likely from mosquitoes and possibly other insects.
On the second day, during heavy rainfall, water leaked from the roof into our room. We were relocated twice, but the final room we were given had two geckos inside. At that point, we decided to check out.
Fortunately, the nearby Balangan Hotel (just a one-minute walk away) had availability and provided a much better experience.
Sadly, we would not stay at the White Palm Hotel again.
