"Simple clean room. English ugh space for my daughter & I. The shower was plenty hot & powerful."

"This place is a gem. The owners are warm, welcoming and very helpful, and so are the rest of the staff. The place is reminiscent of the best of a traditional guest house, but with a modern clean feel. The amenities in the room were plentiful, and with the guests’ comfort in mind. The extra touches were much appreciated, as was the cleanliness and cotton sheets. The breakfast room is bright and airy, with white linen table cloths and pretty china. "We loved this traditional old style hotel and the staff. However dinner was a little bit of a let down I had scallops which were cooked well a served beautifully my wife had a seafood cocktail straight out of the 70,s unfortunately! Followed by a line caught tuna salad , line caught in a tin ! I had venison steak which was cooked very well but served with shop bought skin on fries . The price we paid I would have expected better very disappointed Breakfast was lovely"

"No lift but staff assisted with my case. Dinner cooked to order so time to chat with other guests. Single room compact and very warm so needed fan which was provided. All staff very pleasant."

"Really comfortable bed. Super clean. Great for a couple of nights stay. Close to the University to meet up with our daughter. Would recommend the Beth Chatto Garden near by for a visit. "

"Fine for an overnight stay. Receptionist handed the key wordlessly, beds were not great and there was a bit of noise but not enough to do me sleeping. You get what you pay for etc!"

"Very comfortable bed"

We only had one set of towels for two people and very little teas, coffee, milk and toilet rolls. We went and asked for them and were given them straight away and...

"The room was clean but could do with a deep clean, staff were good. Balcony was a great addition. Overall I would 100% stay again, very central and convenient location. Bit of a walk to get your luggage to hotel. I will be using the hotel again."
