The Jardin des plantes, also known as the jardin des plantes de Paris when distinguished from other jardins des plantes in other cities, is the main botanical garden in France. . It was designed and planted by Guy de La Brosse, the physician of the king in 1626 as a medicinal herb garden for King Louis XIII. . Paris’ 24-hectare botanic gardens – visually defined by the double alley of plane trees that run the length of the park – are an idyllic spot to stroll around, break for a picnic (watch out for the automatic sprinklers!) and escape the city concrete for a spell. Good Hotel, good service & location. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast with several options. The King size room was great especially on the E level floor. Merci Nora & team. The hotel is in a diverse community of Paris 18 surrounded by great restaurants & local spots . Great Vietnamese, Indian, African restaurants & Aux Bonne Grill Paris. Several boulangeries with in walking distance & fresh produce as well as bar around he hotel. Nord Nord was not that bad. Will recommend Aux Bonne Grill for fresh grill meal. Also the hotel is with in walking distance to buses, Gare de Nord & green line. Will definitely book it again. See you next time!
