"Came to this hotel very late at night after a long work trip and the front desk manager was very unpleasant. Their machine wasn’t working and he was pressuring me to write my credit card down so he can charge it for the deposit at a later date. He refused to accept cash or to call my room once his machine was ready and threatened to cancel my booking if I didn’t provide the card.

"Checked into Tru by Hilton Toronto Airport West today.
First impression — super helpful staff at check-in and the location is really convenient if you’re flying in or out. One of the best parts was the runway view from the room. Watching planes take off and land was actually pretty relaxing.
The hotel feels modern, clean, and well maintained. Shuttle service to the airport is available, which makes things easy. Breakfast and common areas were nice too.

"The hotel is in need of an update. The room was comfortable enough, but I couldn’t imagine staying here other than the one night. They are very clear that it is a continental and not a hot breakfast, so the pastries should be fresh and not hard or stale. "Front lobby staff were excellent and very helpful on check-in, but had a rude experience with one front desk staff when asking for a late check-out, think the name was Karen and maybe a manager, who was very rude. "The shuttle service from the airport wa disgraceful. I waited 50 minutes.
I asked for a wake up call which I did not get.
The shuttle does not go at convenient times in the morning.
The shuttle vehicle I doubt would pass a road test. The driver took back roads and was nearly able to keep it straight.

"Clean spacious rooms with a small kitchenette with fridge and microwave. Very helpful staff. Found it convenient. Parking was also included.
The only shortcoming we found was that the AC is not turned on until May 23 rd and since we visited the week before that, the rooms got a bit hot and stuffy. Apart from that everything else was excellent"
