The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel’s location is wonderful.
Un endroit tenu par un couple et portant le nom de leur fils
Ils s’assurent que vous vous y sentiez bien et vous donne toute l information nécessaire des lieux afin que vous profitiez pleinement de votre séjour
This hotel is a great little haven of serenity set right on the beach front with friendly hospitality. The staff are really helpful and will do as little or as much for you as you want. The breakfast is fresh, healthy and sufficient. There are plenty of little restaurants in in the village or along the beach front but the hotel will cook for you if you wish and the food is great.
Nazirin and her husband were excelent hosts; i highly recommend that anyone arrange the private tours to visit the highlights of Zanzibar island with them; i took another tour with beach boys and i was really dissapointed; Nazirin has an excelent restaurant not so far from the hotel and the local food is soo good!!
Perfekt world, Paradis, raj na ziemi!!!
Przepiekne miejsce na wypoczynek.komfortowy domek na plazy, doskonale sniadanie, duzo owocow
Alex i Mike spelniaja wszystkie zyczenia gosci, wspaniala domowa atmosfera.
My fiancé and I wanted to hit the beach and relax, Melik's was just the ticket, very relaxed environment and some nice areas to sit and read or just watch the world go by. The only things we would have changed would be the temperature of the drinks, we wanted ice cold beer and water. There is intermittent issues with the electricity meaning the fan sometimes goes off in the night which makes for a very hot sleep. Mike and Alex were excellent hosts and the chef was brilliant, we asked for some specific dishes a couple of times and he came up trumps! Just delicious food.
Looks like staff tried to do their best, but dirty towels are unacceptable. Fans in our bungalow - very slow and non efficient. Beach in front - amazing. Dining - prices 1/4 higher than in neighboring restaurant run by locals.
This is very nice secluded area. Everything is within walking distance and fairly inexpensive. We went during the off season, so be mindful of exaggerated prices on anything. The facilities were very good. There is no A/C but had fans in all the retreats. They made your food to order and have a very nice cook or cooks. There is really no need for shoes unless you walk the interior part of the village. Everything was in walking distance along the beach. Everyone has different taste, but for me, a really wonderful experience. I highly recommend it for couples that want to keep the flames going in their relationships or marriages.
Oh, there is no ATM. Make sure you take your payment with you unless you pay online before you get there.
We had a wonderful time at Meliks! We stayed for two nights, and Chris went above and beyond to make sure we had everything that we needed. On our arrival, we were greeted warmly by the staff, and they helped us take the bags upstairs to the room. The room was great- not huge, but it worked for the two of us. The wind blew in the windows which had shutters and in conjunction with the fan, we stayed cool on some hot days! The bathroom was clean and had hot water- only downside is that the door to the bathroom is just a curtain. Outside our room, we had a balcony that looked out over the ocean- it was beautiful!
Meliks offers a fantastic breakfast- no complaints there. Access to the kitchen and the ability to store our food and drinks in the fridge was great. We ate down at Chez Hassan each night, which was a two minute walk, and the food was spectacular. Definitely recommend the octopus here above any other place on the island!
You can wander the beach, or just relax- it is quiet and if you wade out during low tide past the boats, you can swim in clean, cool water. We arranged excursions through a fellow named Pando on the beach, and he took special care to cover all details and gave us a great rate. We loved our stay at Meliks and would definitely stay again!
