The staff at this hotel are absolutely amazing and the breakfast is good with a nice selection of food and drinks. GOOD: - amazing breakfast - large rooms with balcony and mountain view - lot's of parking / garage and front of hotel - friendly stuff BAD: - if you like a coffee after breakfast the charges are extremely high (you get it from the same machine where you get your morning coffee for free) - charges in general for drinks are very high - they don't take American Express "

"Celebrated an anniversary and birthday while staying at the Waxenstein. An anniversary card and chocolates in our room and a special birthday breakfast table with champagne for my wife’s birthday. All unexpected but greatly appreciated. No doubt our future trip to Grainau will include a stay at the Waxenstein."
