"This place is overrated, dated, unclean. Friendly staff but it is quite far from the town centre and it feels more like it is about how you as a customer can help the staff - it is about their needs, not yours as a customer."

"The property is very nice. Looked very new inside and very clean. There were a few hiccups. The shower cut off for about 30 minutes in the middle of a shower. There were no linens for the sofa bed. The bar and restaurant are closed on Monday and Tuesday and I wasn't advised of this until I had already arrived in the UK. If it were not for those things, I would have given 5 stars."

"Great place, a very old property that needs serious money spent on it. The gardens are beautifully maintained. We had two breakfasts and an evening meal, the restaurant was like a geriatric ward, I'm 67 and I reckon I was the youngest there, luckily the staff are (I'm sure) trained in caring for the elderly It's not as grand as you might think"

"A modern and exceptionally clean hotel. The breakfast is excellent. With beach and old town mins away we were disappointed to find that we needed to use the car as hotel situated on the top of a hill. Buses and taxis were available and we would stay there again."

"A very lovely, friendly and comfortable hotel. Staff were super friendly. Restaurant food was great. À la carte breakfast was also very good but there was no fruit offered which I was disappointed with. Times were also a little tight from breakfast, dinner, room cleaning and checkout but it was a small hotel so this is understandable. I would definitely stay here again. Thankyou."

"A lovely little hotel a couple of minutes walk away from the beach and 10 minutes walk from the theatre and restaurants. Staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable … quite a small bathroom but fine for a night’s stay. It was quite warm in the room and we couldn’t open one of the windows as the latch was broken. "Staff were friendly and it’s in an excellent location. Opposite the station and HoverPort. Beach and town in easy walking distance. They were happy for us to leave our luggage before checkin and also to let us leave our bikes in a back room overnight. The hotel is large and old and therefore maybe a little tired. Our room was a superior double with Seaview. The room was clean and an adequate size with a great view of hovercraft and beach. However due to the heatwave it was incredibly hot....
