the property did welcome pets however the room we were given was below standard ,the window leaked badly from the storm Amy and the noise coming from it was horrendous. thankfully reception managed to put us in a suitable room, the staff on reception were excellent .the golf course was excellent but very disappointed that there was no drying room after a severe soaking from the inclement weather i would have thought that such a prestigious course as the Machrie would have suitable drying facilities the meals were excellent.

Lovely stay

Such a beautiful hotel and staff were always approachable and pleasant. Hotel very clean and tidy. Loved the board with all the activities and information about the island at reception, great idea. I found the restaurant very expensive, also we were unable to get 2 different cocktails of the menu during the 3 days we were there, because they had no pineapple juice and also no rosé wine which was disappointing.

This was not an inexpensive stay for us, but we certainly got what we paid for. The food and facilities were first rate and though we're not golfers we enjoyed walking along the course and out along the shore

Stay was Wonderfull. Getting to the facility and into town is a challenge as taxi’s are inconsistent. The Golf is wonderful, golf staff could have been more helpful as we nearly ran out of golf balls (wish they had encouraged us to purchase extra as we were renting) the course is very challenging and absolutely breathtaking with beauty. I would absolutely return for another trip.
