We didn't initially realize that everything was unplugged and we had to turn on the water heater for a warm shower but once identified those were easy enough to manage. Not that it was entirely unexpected, but there is no elevator and we were three flights up so that is something to consider."

"The rooms were very clean, and the decor was beautiful and ornate. I truly felt like I was in a palace. The breakfast was wonderful. The rooms were not small, and there were sitting areas all around the hotel. We were able to sit on the rooftop with stunning views of the Duomo and city. The most difficult aspect of the stay was the restricted desk hours from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. "The Hotel Tolomei was an unforgettable experience. It really was a Palace! When we arrived Danielli (the owner) welcomed us as if we were Family. The rooms were magnificent but welcoming. "Residence Leopoldo is close to the tram station (500m) which is a short distance to Santa Maria Novella Station. It is very clean, quiet and comfortable for 2 people. We had a studio apartment with a bed and sofa bed, a small, well equipped kitchen. The bathroom was large with a washing machine and lots of hot water. There is a coffee machine but only 2 free coffee pods. We had to buy coffee from the reception (0.5euros/pod). You can also buy wine at reception for a reasonable price which was...

"We had an amazing time at the Rivalta Hotel. My husband and I stayed in two different River View suites over a week, and both were equally amazing. The staff were phenomenal and went above and beyond for us. When we arrived we discovered that one of our suitcase locks was broken, and they sent someone up with tools to help us get in to it. We loved the breakfast each morning and rooftop patio. Very happy with our entire visit and will absolutely be back!"
