I loved this place. The staff was so kind. It is so easy to find, right there on the Ring Road. It was a warm and welcoming place, with a special area dedicated to their Grandmother. It was a wonderful little oasis along our journey.

Spectacular dinner, service and views. Rooms are small, but common “living room” was nice to meet people after dinner. We looked for value room this one night, and room reflected price, but bed was very comfortable and breakfast included rate added even more value

My partner and I were passing thru and stayed here for one evening. It’s not a fancy place, it almost has a kind of truck stop feel vibe to it. The staff were friendly and welcoming, I don’t know the name of the lady who checked us in but she was just fantastic and fun. Check in was easy, if you’ll be late to your check in let them know in advance - I’m sure they can accommodate you. Our room was quaint, tiny but it was comfortable and perfect for an evening. Private bathroom is always a plus. Hot water really smells like sulfur because of the area, a little stanky but not a big deal! What I really loved about this property was the restaurant below. We went for dinner after our check in and our server was the same lady who checked us in! It was a little pricey of course but it was so delicious. I’m still thinking about that meal, very tasty, great service. The restaurant closes early so keep that in mind. They do offer breakfast as well but it’s not included. I think I noticed a gas station beside the property, so that’s convenient too (no food though, only gas). This was a great stay if you’re passing thru and I recommend it to you if you’re considering. It’s great for solo travellers and partners. Thank you North West for the great stay!

The place was a bit rustic, but we enjoyed our stay. The attached restaurant was good and served a simple but nice breakfast. The hot water in the bathroom gave off a sulfur odor due to - I think - geothermal heating. Overall, though, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great stay at North West!

Had a lovely one night stay at North West. Great service from lovely staff. Our room was clean and inviting, and the bed comfortable. The food we had in the restaurant was absolutely delicious! I will be dreaming about the parmesan & garlic bread sticks for a long time. The bathroom was small, but no complaints as to cleanliness or functionality.

This was a great stay for the one night we needed before heading back to Reykjavik! Very convenient as it is right off the 1 HWY, loved that there was a communal fridge upstairs for the guests and the restaurant downstairs was excellent! The bathroom smelled moldy when the water ran...other than that the room was great!

The property was right on Route 1. There's a restaurant on the first floor and they have really amazing food. There are lots of places to go to, but you’ll have to drive by the mountains which all had mostly paved roads.The room itself is clean. There's a common room for coffee and tea, and a fridge that can be used. The staff were friendly.

Right off main highway so was a little noisy at times. It does have a restaurant but any other options are a bit of a drive. Room was very clean but there was an odor in the bathroom. At times it smelt like sulfur and other times like cat urine. For a one night stop it was clean and easy to find. I wouldn’t stay here more than one night. But it did the trick!

Stayed 1 night and it served the purpose of a quiet place to sleep. It sits above a restaurant if hungry. Room was quiet. Only negative was the smell of sulfur in the bathroom water. There was a sign in the room explaining it was ok. But it was still there.
