I had a lovely single room on the 4 floor it was amazingly clean, comfy mattress and fresh white bedding and towels I was told by reception that there was tea, coffee, and sugar in the room but if I needed any more they were at reception and to help myself, this little gesture was nice as I sometimes feel like a bother if I ask for more. Although I did not use the restaurant it looked warm and welcoming if I had been staying more than one night I would have gone in for a meal. I do recommend the Cornmill

Nice hotel

First time staying here for one night, check in was friendly and helpful. Room was a little dated but nice and clean also WiFi was good. Didn’t try the main restaurant in the evening but did have breakfast in morning of which was continental and it was good and staff were nice and pleasant. I would personally stay again

Festival fun

The hotel was clean & a fab base, across from Asda where we had a basic breakfast hotel just offers continental & butties which may have been better we didn’t try them. Bar area nice with lovely Italian. Would stay again only problem we had was the shower was not very good very hot I mean scalding then freezing.

Great value for money hotel

Great value for money hotel, every time we come to Hull we always check availability for this place out. Staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are decent size and the beds are comfortable.

Basic hotel

Hotel looked nice. Staff were friendly. The room was very basic the bed was extremely uncomfortable & very noisy every time one of us rolled over it would wake us both up. Having said that they are in the process of renewing the beds. (We did stay another night & had a different room where the bed was completely different, a divanwhich was fairly comfortable & quiet) Housekeeping wasn’t great made the bed but forgot to empty the bin. The window was locked shut so there was no fresh air although there was ac.

Sad Experience

I was disappointed that the hotel couldn't offer even a welcome bottle of water. The rooms were bare, there was no soup to wash your hand and it was just not my style.

Spacious lovely stay

Helpful staff, really nice spacious room with high ceilings and a visible beam decor, great soundproofing from the road but not through the doors which was okay anyway, spacious hot shower and all was nice and clean. Perfect location central, it's my new place to stay when I visit Hull

For a budget hotel it was very good. The on site restaurant was also very nice. The area around the hotel was not so nice with lots of closed shops and restaurants.

My stay was spoiled by the receptionist who told me “you’re not a nice person “…and “well you’re not getting a free upgrade “….because I complained about the horrible cheap and nasty bed…..then wanted to try and overcharge me when I offered to pay….. Pay a bit more and go somewhere else that values your business is my advice….
