"Everything was very clean, and the staff was so helpful and friendly. The location was great with easy access to transportation! I’d say the only thing to be aware of is that the rooms are very compact, the bathroom door glass, and you should che k the hours of the dining room"

"This is my first one-star review and it is very valid. I have stayed many times at this property and understand its location and proximity to the hospital. I have always found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. The front desk staff are your biggest issue. The are lazy and often distracted and the desk is often empty. On my check in day, I called ten times and no answer, I then had Expedia call the property and no answer. I sent an email and no reply. There is no way a guest can check in...

"Room was great. Staff were so helpful and kind. Car parking was a bonus. Thank you!"

"Nice place and friendly staff. Enjoyed the short walk to the Melbourne Museum. And Melbourne was colder than people had led me to expect, so pack warm layers."

"Friendly, helpful staff"

"Location of motel was excellent with good access to public transport. Although on a fairly busy main road we did not hear any traffic noise. Whilst comfortable, the mattress tended to throw us together in the middle of the bed."

"Fantastic location, simple rooms, easy check in, exactly what it looks like. Great place to stay and check out Fitzroy on a budget."

"Staff were so amazing good communication and helpful. But the hotel itself needs a revamp. That elevator is a hazard the way it randonly closes. The carpets carry a heavy odour when you first enter the room. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Noise, seems there are no acoustics and some lodgers made noise in the wee hours of the morning, could hear them from our rooms. With children that is not ideal. The tv was not working video just audio. I have been to different Mercure accomodations and I...

"The room was cold throughout, not sure heating was available but it appears to be the case across much of Australia and New Zealand. I will caution travellers if you arrive early, there is no one in reception to take your luggage so that you can check in later(I stood outside for about half an hour), I was booked for a shared apartment which I knew ahead of time (the bedroom doors don’t have keys), someone opened my door at about 5am, they would have to have known they were in a shared apartment...

"Every thing was very good. Staff member was excellent"

"Very nice and modern room, great in all areas of; cleanliness, bed, water pressure, wifi air conditioning and staff. In particular great location surrounded by parks. Zoo is just a 10 minute walk also Brunswick shops are very interesting also just a 10 minute walk away."

"The room was clean and very spacious. My stay was for one night so the close proximity to MCC was great."
