"My boyfriend and I just came back from a long weekend at the Lakeside Inn and we really enjoyed ourselves!! PSA if you are not looking to stay in a HISTORIC ANTIQUE hotel this may not be for you, but it was for us! Beautifully restored wood floors, clawfoot tub for soaking (plumbing was backwards), cozy hand made quilts for each room! You may lack the modern conveniences like a refrigerator in your room (we ended up bringing a small cooler for leftovers and used ice from the machine on the first floor) but it makes up for it in the charm and character. The location is everything! Absolutely beautiful and perfectly located to all of downtown Mount Dora’s shops and restaurants. Everything we wanted to do was already there within walking distance and the few things we drove off property for were 10-20 minutes away. We will most certainly be back!"
