"Pleasant stay at the Seaton Lane Inn with a little hiccup of no towels in the room on arrival but was remedied straightaway. Check in was quick and easy although steep stairs to the upper level of the Inn rooms. May be a little difficult for older people to negotiate these. Had food in the restraunt one night and enjoyed the steak which was cooked as asked and the service was also good from the waiter. Check out was also quick and easy so a very good stay at a good hotel."

"Put in a room over a party where we couldn’t sleep. Then moved to a room with a bathroom that didn’t work."

"The hotel has a great location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are fine but some of the surfaces were quite dusty. There could have been more hangers in the wardrobe. Just small things and would definitely return."

"The staff were polite and the rooms were well kept clean. We booked 2 rooms for a family break and it was nice. Perfect location, and we overlooked the Stadium of Light; which was brilliant. Very close to city centre which is convenient for tourists. The car park could have been free but it didn’t bother us paying £5. Will definitely recommend and come back again."

"Staff were great, the hotel looked stunning and the grounds were amazing. The breakfast was delicious too. The room we had was in the attic so I kept hitting my head, the main light in the room was above the doorway which was around a corner so didn’t really help at all. There was water and hair in the bottom of the shower when we arrived as if someone had only just had a shower. There were patches of damp in the room around the window and on the ceiling."

"The food was excellent and the potions enormous. It was rather remote so you needed a car to visit Durham. The park and ride (Belmont) was excellent but you will need sat nav to find it.Uber was £19 to Durham. Most of the staff very friendly a couple not so but didn’t spoil our stay"

"First class as always, this is our fourth visit and we are already planning our next one. From a seamless check in with an amazingly warm welcome from Nicola and Cheryl who remembered us from previous visits. The room was excellent and the housekeeping team did a fabulous job throughout our stay, nothing is too much trouble. We are in the Pin bar and once again the food was lovely and all people we came across were helpful and polite. We had a visit to the Spa, where the beautiful Lilly...

"Room was clean, staff were friendly. Only issue i found was the busy road and would have expected better sound proofing. Other than that all good."

"Check in and breakfast were good. The area is close to great pubs and restaurants and the metro. Unfortunately in the year since we last stayed here, the hotel looks a little rough inside. Carpet looks beat up. There are dings and scuffs all over the walls inside hotel rooms. We had a great time otherwise. "

"This hotel is in desperate need for refurbishment. The fixtures and furniture is dated and the building itself is so old that you. It think it’s a hotel. The room I got given had a non functional AC. The telephone connection in the room was non functional too. There was no water bottle in the room. You have to buy it!!! The hotel staff had left the room windows, I suppose because the AC wasn’t working. I would not recommend this to anyone."

Cuando pedí que limpien el cuarto se sorprendieron y dijeron que no era usual y que lo lo normal es limpiar el cuarto cada 4 días . Eso me llamó la atención porque he estado en muchos hoteles Marriott en muchos lugares"

"Room was nice and clean and well presented but you may need to bring an extra plug or 2 as I could only find 1 plug socket so I had to swap around charging. But overall it was a nice place to stay"

"First time I stayed in the seaburn inn as I stay in Sunderland a lot but from now on that’s the only place I’ll stay Staff- very helpful. Even late at night, remote broken for TV and went out their way to get me a new one. Just all round brilliant"
