"Stayed at this hotel as en route to Scotland and dog friendly. Staff were friendly and helpful. The added bonus was access to pool and spa facilities which you don’t often get when travelling with a pet. Good food also."

"Firstly, the location was great. The Stork is near the M6 and minutes away from downtown Lancaster, yet you feel like you are in the country. We enjoyed a last minute stay at the Stork and feel as though we had found a hidden gem. If the rooms aren't brand new, they certainly appear so. We also had a gastropub style meal at night and a complimentary full English bteakfast in the morning. Both meals were very good. "Beautiful old building and neat gardens, staff helpful and attentive even though few of them. Excellent food, veggie available on each menu. Comfortable rooms, nice toiletries, big bath, plenty hot drink makings. Lovely and peaceful."

"The Royal presents itself impeccably. It has quality everywhere you look. Our room was immaculate and food quality didn’t let us down. However, our experience at breakfast was a little disappointing as everything was being cleared away before we had finished eating!! And our charges to the room were taken from my credit card without any prior consultation. Still waiting for an email of my bill which was promised? All just seemed a bit unprofessional?"
