"Everything was clean, the cleaning staff was amazing. The only issue we had was our smoke detector needed batteries and it kept going off. I informed the front desk before we left for the day and when we came back it was louder and more frequent. I let them know again and the front desk let me know they had no maintenance person on the grounds and for me to just remove it myself"

"We had an amazing time at the George Manor in Galveston. The property is immaculately kept, the rooms are clean and large. Bathroom was recently renovated and beautiful. The caretakers Michael and Rosie were amazing, very attentive to our every need. Breakfasts were great, best scrambled eggs we’ve had in a long time! Location is so convenient. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the George Manor again."

"We appreciated the large and comfortable room in this beautiful location, which was better than a standard hotel room! The low traffic area made for a quiet and restful stay. The historic charm of the Mansion on 17th will keep you coming back! The entire property is well maintained and very clean. The staff is welcoming and very personable! The air conditioning works well. The nightly social hour provides guests a chance to socialize with snacks and wine, beer, or a cocktail. The breakfast is a wonderful way to start our day! We appreciated the close proximity to the Strand, where we enjoyed restaurants and shopping. We even walked to the Galveston Railroad Museum during our stay."
