Friendly reception staff. Good variety of food items for breakfast and dinner. Free desserts provided at check-in was a bonus. Wine included for breakfast. would be good to include a complimentary glass of wine for dinner as well.

JR Inn Hakodate
Great location, right next to the Hakodate JR station. The hotel is popular, that makes it crowded. The room is small, it has a dinning table which takes up a lot of space. The public bath is nice but full of people at all time. The 12F lounge area provides free coffee and tea which is very nice ...

Heiseikan Shiosaitei Hanatsuki
Hotel’s buffet is good. But if you are staying for more than 1 night, you might not want to pay for half board as the spread for breakfast and dinner doesn’t change. Otherwise, hotel is clean and comfortable. You need a car to move around though as it is not close to town centre.
