The Lodge staff are the standout feature of the place: friendly, accomodating and super helpful. We enjoyed our stay in the Cottage over a spring weekend a great deal. The room and building are old, but still OK if you just need good rest near the North Hobart or Hobart CBD. The TV is too small and has not much entertainment value. Amenities are reasonable. The biggest selling point for choosing this hotel is getting access to free laundry machine for guests and the clothing drying line on the building balcony. Area around hotel has many reasonably good food choices and the main Catholic cathedral is within walking distance.
