An absolutely gorgeous home away from home, the breakfast was of the highest quality and the staff were fantastic and looked after all our needs. The gardens are worth spending some time in as well.

Food was amazing! Service friendly and nice BUT Air conditioning was malfunctioning. The room was really, really cold!!

Disappointed in the “Regency Room” - no outlook and room door opens to the back of the kitchen. Not well described and at over $700 definitely not worth the money. Dining option on the one night we ate there confusing with one main course not as described and very limited food and wine choices.

Unique property for a private experience , very peaceful and beautiful place to stay. The stay would have been great if the restaurant dinner service is not per-order and planned in advance. We had to go out and get dinner every night .

The best place to stay in Tasmania if you are looking for luxury, privacy and a short ride out of the centre of the CBD. Extra helpful, accommodating, and friendly staff, amazing furnishings and art, and the comfiest beds in Tasmania. We have stayed in multiple high end accommodations across Tassie, and The Islington is by far our favourite.

A wonderful stay with great ambience.

Really a wonderful stay for 4 nights. The room is large and well catered for longer stays. The staff was impeccable in their service. The only issue was that it is out of town and without a car there is an extra cost for transport. But for a 8 minute taxi hire or 22 minute walk it’s wasn’t a major issue. Very much recommend a stay at Islington Hotel.

Lovely

Great views of Mount Wellington and the place is lovely and relaxing, breakfast was also nice. Valet parking and luggage service would have made it perfect.

Our stay at the Islington Hotel could not have been better. From the moment we arrived we were treated like treasured members of the family. Nicholas, the manager, and Claire, his assistant were both exceptionally friendly and attentive and Sylvia was also very helpful. Tim and Sam, the chefs, were superlative. In addition to preparing delicious breakfasts, they also created a host of beautiful dessert treats available to guests all day long. We loved our spacious garden terrace room with its view of Mt. Wellington and the lovely garden and access to an outside terrace. Staying at the Islington was a highlight of our time in Tasmania.

Our stay at the Islington was the PERFECT way to start our honeymoon. The property is gorgeous and intimate. The onsite gardens are beautiful, the conservatory where breakfast was held was one of the most beautiful settings we have had a meal and the staff was so friendly and attentive. We would highly recommend for your stay in Hobart.

Amazing!!

This was our second time staying at Islington and everything was wonderful as expected. Staff were warm and welcoming and the place was amazing. If there anything to complain about it would only be the shower pressure was a little low.

We had an amazing stay after cycling through Tasmania and ate the most amazing brownies you could ever imagine! A beautiful located hotel with great art, views and people!
