Bat Dat Hotel in District 5, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The room is 45CAD per night, but the room is very different from the online photos. Broken all over the place, room much smaller than the average HCM City hotel rooms and also smelly! It’s hell!

エレベータが壊れていて別の部屋に変更させられたが事前に連絡もなく部屋も不潔であった。写真と大きく異なるのであれば予約を編くすればよかったと思う。

Located in Chinatown district - easy to get around with the public bus (01) to the cbd. Has good breakfast and decent sized rooms.

Terrible and very dirty
I was booked for 5 nights. at this hotel.. but I only stay 1 night and run away. The hotel condition very dirty and terrible.. I will not recommend Friend go there stay. 👎👎👎

The most terrible, stink hotel I'd experienced.
This Bat Dat Hotel is extremely terrible in all aspects, ambience was very bad. Upon entered the main lobby, I was surrounded by some very bad odor, something smell like dead maggots. The staffs were very unfriendly, impolite and rude. The receptionist charged me additional US $10 for 2nd person to stay in the same room. The condition of the room was very bad and stinks. Bed sheets, linens, and pillows were dirty and looked yellowish. Worst, the air condition was not working properly, after let it ran for couple hours; the room was still steamy hot. Asked the staffs to change our room to couple others, but all with exactly the same problems. Breakfast was horrible, only some very basic and simple food, such as toast, porridge, and not much to choose from. It was a very, very unpleasant stay at this hotel. My expectations are not high, but this hotel is just way, way below my expectations. I would definitely not stay again at this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone else. Avoid it if you don’t want to ruin your vacation.

It's ok for the money. Staff is helpful. Breakfast tends more toward Asian tastes; but then most of their clientele is Asian.

Not happy
It was not I expected. I requested nonsmoking yet I smell cigarette everywhere. There was even ashtray in the nonsmoking room. Not happy

Good location working distance to restaurants, shops, but the bedroom is way too dark, the bathroom too slippery.

Die Zimmerausstattung ist schon merklich in die Jahre gekommen. Das Frühstück ist einfach, asiatisches Buffet. Ein paar Laufbänder stehen als Fitneßgeräte im Flur des Hotels. Man muss mit dem Taxi ins Zentrum fahren.

Excellent location and friendly service
The hotel is located within walking distance to many Street food. The room is very clean and spacious. The AC in the room is working perfectly. The weather out side is 30+C . With the AC on, I didn't feel the heat at all. I also enjoyed the included buffet breakfast.

性價比OK的飯店
飯店整體來說硬體比較老舊，但清潔度與服務還算到位，會講中文，所以對只能用中文的旅客比較方便，飯店對面就有一個小超市，所以要購買一些日用品或飲用水很方便。飯店有提供早餐，所以CP值還算OK。

hotel kind of old but ok. Staffs are helpful. Only one thing i don't like is you have to walk to other Hotel to have breakfast.

Rooms are ok but unfortunately smoking and non-smoking rooms are on the same floor - not good when other guests smoke in their rooms with the door open (the hotel staff were good to fix this problem when it occurred). Breakfast buffet is Chinese style food. Not much to see around the hotel area, need a taxi to get to the city centre.

Hotel is basic but clean. Breakfast is Chinese style buffet. Wifi was patchy but that could be the fault of internet in the region, not just for the hotel. Nothing to see in the local area - district 1 is about 45 minutes walk or a taxi costs around 70,000-80,000 Vietnamese Dong.

Fair but clean hotel
Room charges a little high if compare with their location & facilities. Hotel is clean. Mainland Chinese style breakfast and the noodle not delicious. The elevator not only slow and I also experience that door not open at 7/F.

Very unaccommodating...
The staff is very unaccommendating. We've asked to switch room and the staff said that room we got was booked online therefore can't be switched.

Nice hotel, close to all services
Excellent services. Staffs speak multiple languages and are very polite. The morning breakfast in the hotel restaurant where is beautiful, clean, bright and with very good service. It is worth much more for the price we paid for it.

It even better if the hotel turn on the A/C at all time in lobby and hallway, the bath towel still need to improve for more cleaner and fesh smell. Overall still acceptable hotel.

Great hotel for visit Chinatown and Chinese food
Staff is very helpful, thanks for manager Mr.Lam, he helps to get SIM card for us which is across from hotel. For the first day we afraid to cross the street, so he asked his assistance to get it for us. Buffet is ok but same every day . Location is far from some attractions. We have to ride taxi or bus to dong Khoi, Ben thanh market. This hotel is in Chinatown and has a lot of Chinese restaurants.

Bat Dat Hotel - Ho Chi Minh
Thirty years ago this property was a first class 5 star property - and that's what it is today a 30 yr old 5* property. The minute you walk into the lobby the musty odor that permeates the hotel hits you. It is in one of the dirtiest neighborhoods I had visited in Ho Chi Minh and I've been here a month and visited many areas. Only place I really didn't feel comfortable walking at night. Expensive cab rides to go anywhere There are many other hotels in Ho Chi Minh that are comparable, or lower rates, that outshine this one by far!!
