"We had a fantastic stay at Vollsnes Feriehus Stryn! Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side, but it still gave us fantastic views!"

"Wonderful location right on the fjord. Gym, sauna, rowboat, great staff and management, lots of helpful information. Clean comfortable rooms, EV charger on site. Note that it’s in Hjelle, 20 km to Stryn for restaurants and shopping."

"The view of the valley is stunning. The rooms are utilitarian and very clean. The breakfast is truly excellent and by comparison, the dinner was terrible and expensive. We rented the sauna and it was wonderful! There are 2 roads that lead to the Videseter and on arrival, Google Maps took us through a one lane, mountain road that was closed at the top! Would have been nice if the hotel had mentioned not to take the closed road. A quick message after we booked would have prevented a lot of stress....

"Lunheim is a great place to stay, and Ian is very knowledgeable and helpful on all things local. The kitchen for guests is excellent, and with great views, although we were a bit surprised to be charged a cleaning fee for using it, even though left spotless, as I don’t recall this being mentioned on Expedia. That said, we enjoyed our stay and our talks with Ian and were very happy that we stayed at Lunheim."

"Driving into Hjelle through the lakeside tunnel was magical. This repurposed schoolhouse was a fantastic place to experience old-world Norwegian living. Loved the nook beds and touches of history. The modern bath and kitchen were integrated well. The property manager was kind and helpful - he let us know when the early snowfall unexpectedly closed down the mountain pass. Was a great site to just relax and enjoy!"
