"It gives the feeling of a cross between a youth hostel and a B&B. The rooms have a loft, but it is of limited use. The height inside the loft is very low, requiring you to move around on your knees, or scooch around seated on the floor. When you are seated on the floor within the loft, your head is only a couple inches below the ceiling. I sat up on the mattress in the middle of the night and banged my head on the ceiling. The ladder to the loft is substantial and the rungs are so far apart it would not be suitable for younger children or shorter adults. It also makes getting up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night difficult. The breakfast is cooked to order and very good. The bathroom was modern and very clean. The common areas are like a youth hostel, not of very good quality."

"The staff was great. The property smaller and is dated however, the problem is the plumbing is in-need of service. Our bathtub/shower was extremely slow to drain (yuck). You can tell drainage issues have plagued the units as wall access panels were of different colors (we rented 2 rooms). When that issue is corrected, the property will do for a night or two prior to leaving out on either a charter or cruise ship."

"Such a unique location - the deck is right on the water with lovely views of the bay. Sit outside regardless of the weather with deck heaters and provided lap blankets. Use their binoculars to view all the water activity. Staff was very friendly and included breakfast tasted homemade, not typical hotel fare."
